She did no have enough in her account to make her mortgage payment so I lent it to her by depositing my check in her account. By accident I enclosed her mortgage check along with mine to her in the night deposit envelope. I have been trying to contact the bank since then but can not reach the local branch to get the check back. Every call goes to a call center in CA or FL. I finally had to drive 35 miles (each way) to the UNIFY Credit Union to learn they had shredded her mortgage payment check and even worse REFUSED to contact her to resolve the issue by making a counter check. UNIFY should have mailed the extra check back to her address on file with a deposit receipt. This problem is going to be very difficult and has already been time consuming and expensive to resolve. Any time I have interacted with this Credit Union they have been difficult and uncooperative”

I called back three times, asked for information, asked to speak to the closer. She was always in a closing. I made one more trip to their office and never got a response. Finally the day before the closing we got a call providing the time. The buyers had the same experience. When we arrived at closing the owner explained that she had lost a closer and that left her slammed. How hard would it have been to get a receptionist to provide us with basic information, or for the closer to make a quick call, email or text? Never again.”

They refused to even make me an offer. It was unused, other than that the whetstone was opened. not only did the manager totally refuse ANY offer on the knife, he refused to hear my circumstance or even talk with me. I was not rude, until I left, informing them that I would ensure the veteran community of el dorado that they were discourteous in demeanor and wholly unwelcoming to me. They offered me exactly ZERO dollars back, not even half back, not even a quarter back, and treated me like I was trouble. Finally, I asked him if he would just Listen to what I had to say, even if his answer was still no. He told me that he wouldn’t even speak. Highly unsettling disrespect for an old doc down on his luck.”
