Patelco Credit Union Hesperian Blvd, San Leandro

Extremely dissatisfied with service at the San Leandro location, stood in line that stretched all the way to the parking lot for well over an hour, only one teller working. I had questions on a IRA mistake that one of their associates had made and that I needed it to be rectified before I make any more major deposits, only to be turned away. Teller told me that a manager would call me by the end of business day. Still no call and when I try to call them automated system had me on hold for 43 minutes frustrating me into hanging up.

My review is strictly for the the lady that helped me. She was very nice and professional. She explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. I can definitely say my first time experience was a positive one. Due to the pandemic, they have a long line outside if you wish to go inside to a teller. The only thing that I was not too thrilled about was the process for helping the people who have appointments. I may have waited about 10 or 15 minutes past my appointment time and when a petite woman came out, she never asked who was next. Instead, she instantly proceeded to help this couple that was standing up, which is when I had to interrupt and let her know I was there first. Mistakes happen, but the fact that she walked back-and-forth quite a few times before that couple even came into the bank indicated that she saw me but she chose not to acknowledge me. Nonetheless, I will not allow her slight lack of professionalism to impact how I feel about this new credit union.

I was fraudulently charged by an airline company provided direct proof and they still did not return my money.. will be switching my accounts ASAP

This place would be awesome, if they smiled once in a while...a smile can be seen even if you’re wearing a mask. In some lines of business formalities are paramount. Banking is one of them. If your handling my money, my investments and my payments I need courtesy with at least an effort toward making me feel like you enjoy your job and assisting me with my transactions. Let’s not forget, Customers wait outside in a line, against the elements to get inside to do business with you all. I have actually driven to the Berkeley location to avoid the serious, stoic, cutting eyes of the Particularly handsome guy with the ponytail/ man-bun; which I always seem to get as my teller. I should not have to extract a hello, how are you out of him.

Brian was amazing!! Opened up my account a few weeks ago and the experience has been nothing but amazing! Friendly staff and they offer you pleasant beverages. Their security guard opens up the door and helps out a lot! Best branch I’ve been to so far!

Set up an account today. Easy in, easy out. Mr. Luna was pleasant and explained things directly and practically without excessive hype or pushing things I didn't need. Walked out with my card, whole thing took probably 20 minutes. Would recommend based solely on ease of this experience. Nice app, too.

Absolutely the worst bank to deal with. I have sent email upon email to get an account Bf every time I send some form they ask for, it is denied as it's not the correct one. Every time, I'm denied because it's not the write form after they ask for that specific form. I recommend a y other credit union over patelco.

Was the only person waiting for a banker to make a check deposit and get a temporary card. Waited 20 minutes while they stood around and talked to one another. Despite it being opening, it only being 2 other customers and at least 4-6 employees at the time, it was 20+ minutes of waiting before I finally just walked out. No one even acknowledged me after I put my name on the list to be helped. I'll go to Oakland or even San Francisco location before I come to this one again

I tried to open an account and was told several things about requirements over several weeks, they needed three forms of physical ID and we’re not in anyway willing to work with me. Wish I hadn’t wasted my time and security by providing them with my personal info. Very terrible customer service.

They changed up the ATM to every time you want to do something different, you have to input your pin. I understand it's for security, but time is money.
