Joe Schmo3Allot to be desired. In the modern times we live in it's still surprising VCCU gives out the cheapest debit and credit cards with no tap and pay option or even embossing. Used to be a Visa card now only MasterCard available. Don't bother putting your checks into the ATM or it'll take 3-4 days before they get around to even bothering with them.
Response from the ownerHi Joe, We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our services and appreciate your feedback. We are excited to report we are actively working on a project to provide contactless (tap and pay) cards, both credit and debit. With this, our cards will be redesigned with a fresh new look, these new cards will begin being issued in early 2023 as cards naturally expire (the long lead time is due to the chip shortage being experienced worldwide.) In regards to ATM holds on check deposits, our hold times are industry standard and comply with regulatory guidelines. However, we know this does not always meet your needs, please reach out to us securely via your online banking or mobile app if there is an immediate need for a check to be reviewed. If you would like to speak with someone further, please email us your contact information at [email protected] reference this review. Once again, thank you for your feedback!

Tyler Huggan5I've been using VCCU for over 7 years and have always appreciated their excellent service. My girlfriend and I were in the process of looking for a car, got pre-approved, and went into this branch to finish things up. I was helped by Anthony Young who took all of the stress and worry out of the situation immediately, I knew we were going to be well taken care of. Anthony put me in a position to drive down to Murrieta and get the car we always wanted! His attention to detail and customer service are unmatched compared to any bank, agent, or rep I've talked to within VCCU. All great people, but Anthony is in another tier of his own. Please, give this man the recognition for all he did for me, and for other members that may not take the time to write a review!!
Response from the ownerHi Tyler, that's so wonderful to hear! Congratulations on the new car. Thank you for your membership and review!

Judy Sander5Been with Ventura county CC for years. Their service is impeccable and very personal. They actually answer their phones so you can talk to a real person instead of getting talked to by a recorded voice, put on hold, asked to push numbers and get transferred, give your entire life IDs before getting transferreersd and then duplicating the whole procedure for the transfer.
Response from the ownerHi Judy, thank you so much for your membership and kind words. We really appreciate it!

CHRIS REBBE5I wanted to take this time to share my excellent experience with VCCU in getting an a refi auto loan. My overall experience was nothing short of fantastic. Most of that can be attributed to the excellent customer service I received from Sara B. From start to finish Sara was professional, competent, efficient, friendly and personable. It was wonderful to be treated like real person rather than simply be another file going to underwriting. The loan I received was more than half off of the rate that I was currently paying, the term was reduced by two years and my payments were about the same. I could not be happier with the deal. I believe the whole process was done in less than 48 hours from my initial inbound call to Sara B. I recommend that if you’ve been holding off on initiating the process of obtaining a loan, that you simply call into VCCU and let them get you a quote. You’ll be glad you did. Ask for Sarah. She was phenomenal. Chris
Response from the ownerHi Chris, we are glad to hear about your great experience financing a loan with Sara at our Thousand Oaks branch. Thank you for your membership and kind words. We appreciate it!

Steve Ross5Sara. the Member Services Representative in the Thousand Oaks branch, worked with me from start to finish on my new car loan. It was the best experience I have ever had with financing a car loan. She was so responsive to every question that I had and she coordinated extremely well with the dealer. I would highly recommend her to everyone who is interested in financing a car.
Response from the ownerHi Steve, thank you for your membership and great feedback about working with Sara on financing your car loan with us. We take pride in serving our members and hope to see you again soon!

Scott Calabrese5Sara B was a great help and provided excellent customer service and was very consistent with following up after my visit. I’ve been a member of this bank for over two years and she is one of the main reasons I enjoy this bank. I highly suggest handling business with her.
Response from the ownerHi Scott, We are so glad to hear about your great experience with Sara at our Thousand Oaks branch. Thank you for your membership and review!

Jovanny Garcia5This branch is amazing and especially Isabel! I am very grateful for everything She has done for my fiancé and I. She has been amazing! She has helped us out a lot with opening accounts and managing them. She provided excellent customer service! She would always email or call us about updates on our loans. I’ll always come back to this branch and I’ll keep working with her as long as she’s still with VCCU!
Response from the ownerHi Jovanny, we are so glad to hear about your great experience opening your accounts with Isabel at our Thousand Oaks branch. Thank you for your membership and for sharing your kind words.

Toby Thompson1This credit union absolutely does not care about their customers. I've been a member for over 15 years and got a surprise email Saturday that my credit score had dropped 90 points from VCCU saying I didn't pay my credit card which I didn't have a balance on and hadn't received any statement for. I called instantly to find out what was going on and was told there was a fee put on the card and I hadn't paid it. I informed them I had never received a statement or a call saying it was passed due and especially during Covid when so many people are out of work you would think they would at least make a courtesy call before ruining someone's credit! The girl claimed they called three times but no longer leave voicemails. I demanded to speak to a manager and she promised one would call me. Six days later I still hadn't received a call so I called again and spoke to a supervisor. He gave me a completely different story that they had never called because they only send notifications by email now. I asked when I had signed agreeing to that when my junk filter grabs all their emails and he informed me they hadn't called or gotten signatures approving only notifying me by email but that they still would not remove the 30 day ding from my credit. This used to be a good bank but they have gone so far down hill. I switched my primary banking years ago when I saw the decline in VCCU's customer service but I'll be closing my remaining accounts and card after this.
Response from the ownerHi Toby, we are very sorry to hear about this experience you had with us regarding your credit card payment. We are researching your account and will have a manager contact you to address your concerns in more detail. Thank you.

Johnny Garcia1Online car loan application process didn't go at all like I expected. Sound like a bunch of amateurs not knowing anything I ask about and getting a call person to go over application was just not right. No one available to talk to and so unprofessional and since when do you have to do business there to speak to anybody!! Considering moving banks and I will be declining any offer.

Jesus Aviles5By far the best team of bakers and tellers i have personally dealt with. Very helpfull staff and they know what their doing. The Thousand Oaks branch is the best of all VCCU i have been, in my opinion. I used to have Wells Fargo before and i felt like my money wasnt save so i switched to VCCU and havent had a problem ever since!
Response from the ownerHi Jesus, our apologies on the late reply. We appreciate the review and thank you for your membership!
