Cher Hislop4I love the people, place & location of this Title company! Hard workers who care about their clients and the realtors who work with them. Efficient and knowledgeable. Do they make occasional mistakes and have time delays? Yes, but it's the same across the industry. Most times they are ON it!
Response from the ownerThank you for trusting us with your business, Cher! We appreciate your ongoing support!

Paul Koby2Ok service when we did finally get to see someone. We arrived on t8me and still had to wait . once we were seen it was fairly fast nothing was really explained just a quick overview didnt really feel like we were customers more like they were doing us a favor and we were paying them to do it. Oh we did get a free plastic pen which our representative acted like was a gift and something special. Through the process they were slow to respond to is and the seller.

K Long4Made extra efforts to help and meet closing date deadlines. Not disorganized, but you need to know who you've been talking to for faster service. Drive through window available for quick one-off signings. Seemed to have a lot of titles going through at the time, so balancing the initial disclosure took a little longer.

Amanda B1I had to deal with them for one day to sort out an issue and it was horrible. I was frustrated, upset and angry by the end of the whole circus. Unfriendly, uncooperative, uninformative. I felt like I was getting the run around. I felt like they were trying to push me into signing things I didn't understand and was not even trying to help me understand the information I was signing.
Response from the ownerWe're sorry to hear you had anything other than a positive experience with our office. Unfortunately, without additional information, we're not able to reach out to you and directly address your concerns and help provide answers to your questions. Please email us at [email protected] with your contact information and someone from our leadership team will reach out to you.

Graham Fortune (Real Life Rogue)2I feel like writing this review is more productive than yelling at a clerk/ loan agent for their mistake, and I hope that this criticism either changes your business practices or causes prospective clients to find a more professional organization to do business with in the future. I called yesterday to verify the total amount I needed to wire for closing on a property I am purchasing. I was given the instructions for wiring and was told the final amount I needed to send them. However this number was inaccurate, and unbeknownst to me the person who I was transferred to after giving my infographics was not my loan agent. So now here I am, going back to the bank paying more money in bank fees for their inaccuracies, and truthfully this is more about the principle than it is the money. If you are not charged with handling somebody's money, be professional and make sure your calls are routed to the right person, and if you are the right person, don't fudge the numbers the day before closing. I will be seeing you guys tomorrow. And I really hope your ducks are in a row.
Response from the ownerThank you for bringing to our attention the confusion that can come with final closing numbers, Mr. Fortune. There are often last-minute adjustments up until signing the final closing documents to finalize numbers between the title company and the lender. This can be frustrating for the buyer if not prepared for that possibility. When there is a loan on a purchase transaction, the lender is fully in control of the final Closing Disclosure, the figures attached, and the final amount of funds needed for closing. We take our fiduciary duties very seriously and want our customers to feel secure knowing that. I appreciate you taking the time to speak with me today and we look forward to a smooth closing.

Samuel Cook1Used them to sell our house in October. Very nice people. However, they messed up an account number which screwed up paying taxes on the house. Its now mid January and I am still waiting on $3000 which they claim they still can't find. The county tax office found it and sent it to them but they are just lost on where that money is at. 3 months of waiting. DO YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! Notice the response has no mention of the error on their part where they submitted the wrong Tax ID.
Response from the ownerOur team has been in communication with you throughout the transaction and has kept you informed. Closings in October create unique issues due to real estate taxes becoming due and payable in Texas. This often ties up funds while the accounts are reconciled. Monteith prides itself in going above and beyond to make closings as smooth as possible for our clients.
