Money Man Pawn is ok. That's pretty much it. Over priced, some items are ok, management down the drain, employees just sitting around while the manager Chris was overwhelmed, good employees are hard to find but they seem to lose valuable employees due to overworked and not enough credibility. Won't ever go back to any of them due to rude employees and lazy employees with attitudes..

HANDS DOWN: "BEST" place to send your enemy. Can relate to all of you reporting how "rude" the staff are. Unreal... Didn't think anyone could beat McDonald's - but this place proved me illiterate. Took over 15 minutes for someone to see me standing at the counter. I didn't say anything either. Wanted to know for sure I was the new 'Invisible Man' before running home to tell wifey. When I was finally acknowledged, the lady said "I'll be with you in a minute." (can't make this up guys) Was looking at necklace for daughter - pricetag $300. Of course, you never pay asking price at pawnshops, so offered $260. She didn't hide her annoyance with me but still went to talk with manager (you know the stall-wait-get most game). She came back and said the most they could do was 30% off. Now, I wasn't the brightest kid in math class but at least I passed. Anyway, she rung me up but charged me $295 with tax. I asked for sales tax %(don't recall what it was) but used my cell to do my own math. We came up with 2 different numbers. She was shocked I asked but more shocked that I pulled my cell out and did my own calculations. It ended up being over$40 cheaper than her original quote. Surprisingly, it wasn't the rudeness, poor service, nor wait time that upset me the most. I was more upset, over finding out their tax scheme and thinking about how much money they make ripping people off with it.

Money Man Pawn on Farmington Road in Summerville is a well managed pawn shop that is a great place to shop for good values and unique items. You never know what you will find here, but usually it will be worth it. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here.

I recently when to this pawn shop and not only was the service slow; they were incredibly rude! I was reassured I would get a call back from one of the associates when the time came to pick up my item and I did NOT receive a call. I completely understood with everything going on they may have been busy and just forgot about me but when I called back to check back, it took them FOREVER to pick up the phone and when they finally did; they were RUDE! I will NEVER go back to purchase anything here ever again!!!! If I could give them with no stars, I would.

I agree with all the people who say worst place ever. I have tried to give them a chance by not publicly saying this. However 3rd time and I've spent over $1000 there. I've also have attempted to sell there. They are all rude. Also they change prices when it they feel like it. A week ago we purchased a apple tablet it was not working correctly when I brought it back to them she told me " she did not care if it works or not I should of been more careful when buying used computer". So I promise her I will n I will tell everyone I know. I'm a business owner myself so I did not want to blast the pawn shops name however when you continue to have rude salesmen your asking for no return business also word if mouth is the very best form of marketing there is. Seen some rims they were advertising on fb market so i went to check them out. Cashier helped me figure out if they would fit my car and they did. So I decided to put them on layaway. They seemed pretty disappointed I decided to go with layaway, but they offer it as a option so I'm not sure what the problem was. Went back a week later and picked them up with no problem. One guy even helped me load them in my car. I would go back again.

Most memorable visit I’ve had. Chris was extremely professional, quick, when I told him what I wanted he helped make it happen, and to top it off my son accidentally got locked in the car Chris found a way to save the day It’s a great feeling knowing there are still people around willing to go above and beyond for the customer. Thank you from me and my family for going that extra mile!

I was in to buy an item I had been doing research on over a few weeks, had no trouble with the counter staff whatsoever. They were very friendly and receptive. I went in Saturday June 2nd, 2018, to buy the item referenced and noticed a firearm for a great price. I attempted to buy both items, went through and passed a background check for the firearm, and payed $1377 for both. When going through a supervisory verification, the supervisor on duty told me they could not sell me the gun, and that it was on layaway previously. So here’s the question, why was it on the shelf? I’ve bought and put a few guns on layaway at other stores of this franchise and they put the layawayed item in the back. So I wanted to buy the original item and I was told they could only do a full refund (which the clerk added would take until the following Monday) and so after they refunded me in full (which won’t show until a few days later) they asked to charge my card for the scope again. I decided against it and left frustrated.

Wish this had a negative star rating option. Just walked out of this store for my last time guaranteed. The staff member (short black husky youngwoman) who was helping me (and I am using the world help in the loosest context) was one of the rudest and demeaning people I have ever had the misfortune in dealing with. First she tried selling me the item for more than the display was marked, and then the saw was missing the case it was labeled to include and I was told I didn't have to buy it if I didn't want to, but even missing parts labeled that were included she would not reduce the price even the amount of the tax on the item. But the worst part by far was simply her attitude and demeanor which even if I was getting a great deal would have inspired this review. No excuse for rude people especially in the customer service industry
