      I have done I think a total of 4 transactions with this amazing title company and I keep coming back. They have done nothing but made every sale and purchase seamless . Jane Koy even drove all the way down to our place an hour away to be a mobile notary for us. Meghan Moriarty has been an amazing closer. She worked on the price for us, she handled issues with the builder, and even on the closing day made sure our wire and paperwork was perfect. Even when our builder made it terribly difficult. This title company is so knowledgeable, quick, and efficient you don’t need to stop around. Thank you all for the help!

      The experience was amazing from the time we walked in the door. We had some hiccups with the builder but Megan was amazing and helped any way that she was able . She answered every question we had and explained everything thoroughly. She made the experience memorable by taking pictures and making us feel comfortable. Thank you !

      July 13 2021, I sold my home, this title company was the buyer title company, they discriminate against me, they treated me poorly because I was black, they authorized a payout for a lien settlement without my consent, they never informed me prior to closing of any lien against my property, they put my life in jeopardy, I was forced to sign closing documents out of fear for my life, I owned the property with a psycho social path violent crazy dangerous man who I had been trying to escape from for 6 years, I was force to pay a $37,000 debt that was not my mines, that was my husband debt, I never signed any documents prior to closing to give the title processor Shannon any authorization to agree to a payoff debt that she never informed me of until the date closing, when was the deadline date of the contract, so if I didn’t pay the 37,000 lien amount, my ex boyfriend who co- owned the house that was been sold, he would lost the contract, and he was leaving town the next day, so he threatened my life at the closing at the title company and out of fear, when signed closing documents, and gave him $16,000, because the title processor Shannon never informed me of code enforcement lien on another property that I owned with my husband, nor did she informed Ann Lee Realtor who was my realtor about any lien until last day of contract, Also at closing they only had a notary at closing, the was no closing agent in closing, the notary was rude, nasty, and unprofessional, she wouldn’t allow us to ask no questions, every time we ask for explanation of something we didn’t not understand in paperwork she cut us off, it was the most horrible and demeaning experience of my life in a professional office, also title mgr wouldn’t even let me speak to the owner to tell him how horrible I was treated in his establishment,, Also the title processor Shannon told multiples lies to cover up her I mistakes when processing our documents , the notary made me pay my ex, Terry D , $37,000 at first, and then I came to my senses, and figured out on my own, that I only owed him$16,000, maybe it I am confused, and afraid for my life, , I had only owed him $9000, but at that time, my mind was clear, since I was in the middle of a nightmare, I was helpless, company notary had done told my psycho ex boyfriend that I owed him over $37,000, he is mad and upset, and believes the notary that I owed him all this money, which was not true, the title company force me to pay a debt that wasn’t mines, the company only paid one lien, there were 2 liens on property that was been sold, they claimed we couldn’t closed unless we paid off the liens, if that the case, how did we closed, when there was over a $10,000 lien still on our property that was not paid at closing Bernice Jones, Terry Drakeford

      (This review is location agnostic.) "Failure to communicate." Our closing date was delayed because Hillsborough Title failed to notify our lender that we were ready to close. At closing, I brought a checkbook to pay for my closing fees; however, I was informed that I was supposed to wire money to their bank. I was never sent wiring information (despite sending an Email the day prior requesting status on everything). On both occasions we were inconvenienced by having to adjust work schedules to accommodate a simple failure in processes and communication. Review your processes. Create a checklist. Set calendar reminders. Use a tickler file. Communicate.

      On 6/21/17 Had closing scheduled as the seller at 2:00pm , buyer had closing scheduled at 3:00pm. My document signing went fine. At end was asked by closing agent if I wanted copies of closing document or did I want them sent digitally, At around 4pm I am notified by my agent that the buyers agent nor the title company had told the buyer his wife had to be present to sign documents on the closing and his wife was in Miami. So they now had to try and get lender to redo forms since closing could not occur that day, they would have to redo the Alta HUD document as numbers would change. In afternoon of 6/22/17 told by my agent that the buyer has power of attorney for wife approved and lender has sent new doc's for closing and they will close at 2:00pm the next day 6/23/17. But because they failed to communicate with the buyer I would now be collecting $46.00 less due to the delay in closing. At 4:30pm I am told by my agent that the house is sold only problem is the Title Company won't wire my money till Monday because it was after 4:00pm I also informed her I have still never got my closing document copies. She called them and replied back to them they would send them over. By 5:00pm and still no documents I call Title company. I get message we are closed and won't be open till Monday morning. So I now don't have my house, the buyers have possession, I don't have one document showing ownership has transferred, only a verbal statement by agent and most importantly I don't have the money for my house that is supposedly sold!!! Follow up: Monday 6/26, Finally got wire transfer for my house around 9:45am, Later that afternoon I had to contact them to get them to send my documents, which they did just a couple minutes after I contacted them. After writing the initial 1 star review I was contacted by Hillsborough Title, There representative listened to my issues apologized for the situation asked what she could do to make it right, and offered to send me and my wife to dinner at Bonefish to make up for our troubles. It's nice to know they care enough about their reputation to read reviews and actually call to follow up on the issues and for that fact I am raising my review.
