If you want to talk about an employee that Goes above and beyond the scope of what his job title is, Trammel is your guy! He is always quick to help, find solutions, and makes it a priority to help his members. Not only is he nice, he just makes us feel like he really cares about us and our success. We are not just another name on a screen, we are people and he makes it a point to make that known. Thank you Trammel for everything !

Michael Jernigan5Gulf Winds has always has made us feel like we are part of the Gulf Winds family. We have gotten the last 4 car loans through them and they are always quick and easy so we can go into the dealership with checks a blazing! The branch employees at Garden Street always smile and ask how my day is when I go in and then take care of business. I am always confident they have my best interests at heart with guidance and banking needs.

Mark Mullins1STAY AWAY! These people are morons. They put my cash deposit that I deposited to pay my rent into the wrong account and it caused me to be evicted from my apartment that I had rented for almost 3 years. I complained to the board and they DO NOT CARE!. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THEM. A couple of years ago I applied for an auto loan for a 2006 GTO; I was approved for the loan. I sent a $500.00 deposit to the company who had advertised the car for sale VIA the internet. When the seller faxed the C.U. the title the C.U. backed causing me to loose my $500.00 deposit. The seller East Coast Auto had not disclosed that the car had been a theft recovery. Naturally once I knew that the car was not as advertised and that it did not have a clean title I changed my mind about purchasing they car. However; the seller refused to refund my $500.00 deposit that I had made with a debit card. Gulf Winds refused to help me get the $500.00 deposit back even though they knew the deposit was made on good faith on a car that was offered for sale with a clean title. STAY AWAY FROM GULF WINDS CREDIT UNION.

Mark Mullins1THIS IS THE WORST financial institution I have ever encountered in my entire life. I've been in business for myself most of my life and have had dealings with financial institutions all over the world. Gulf Winds has cost me almost $7500.00. in lost sales because they refused to cash a lawful financial instrument-cashiers check. On 11/02/15 I went to cash a cashiers check from a customer drawn on a legitimate bank from central Illinois, at about 4:45 PM. I was told by one of the tellers that she and the head teller called the banks phone number and it was NOT even a working number and they thought the check was NO GOOD! Then I was told to go ahead and deposit the check to see if it would clear. By the time I had located the banks phone number they were closed for the day. I called my customer to see what he had to say about GWFCUs claim that the banks listed phone number was NOT a working number. Naturally he was surprised at what I told him GWFCU told me. The next morning I called the issuing bank and was told that the check was a good check. Also the number worked just fine. I returned to GWFCU to let them know that I had gotten in touch with the issuing bank and that the check was good. When I arrived at the credit union I was told by Mark Robinson that the check was no good and that the sender had stopped payment on the check. I tried to call my customer and could not get him on the phone. I called the bank again the next day and was told by the bank president Mr. Hardin that his bank could NOT stop payment on the check as it had already been endorsed & deposited. I returned to GWFCU and Mark Robinson again told me that the check was no good. I called the issuing bank president Mr. Hardin in front of Robinson with Mr. Hardin on speaker so that he could hear the fact that this check was a legitimate check and that he could NOT stop payment on the check. Robinson still refused to cash the check or to return it to me. GWFCU returned the check to the issuing bank REFUSING TO CASH IT OR DEPOSIT IT INTO MY ACCOUNT. This cost $7450.00 then they even had the nerve to charge me a return check fee. STAY WAY THESE PEOPLE ARE INCOMPETENT !!!
