Worst bank ever. bank closed randomly. Had to go to BOA in Carson because this one closed on a weekday. At Carson BOA there were 13 people ahead of me and it took me 40 minutes in line to make a deposit into landlords account. The staff were very nice. I feel sorry for anyone who works for BOA. If you want a great bank w great customer service go to City National Bank in Minden. They are so responsive. I have never had to wait for service and they go out of their way to help their customers.

Hi. We understand your frustration. Hours in some financial centers have been adjusted on a case-by-case basis, based on many factors including traffic in these locations. We offer convenient alternatives for some transactions available at the financial center. Final update: I'm switching banks. I'm here right now on a Friday at 11:45 and there's a line out the door waiting for the bank to open. Are you kidding? So it's only going to be open for 4 hours today? I got bills to pay. They take 90 minute lunch breaks, the ATMs rarely work, they're severely understaffed, and I'm done with it. I switched from Wells Fargo to BofA after the whole class action suit over the fact that Wells Fargo used to be allowed to keep piling on overdraft fees daily. I've been with BofA for I want to say 5+ years or so. They were ok at first. It's a typical large bank: monthly fees, red tape, mediocre customer service, but it's just the price you pay to keep your money somewhere safe and insured these days. The last couple years has just been a disaster, though. At least for our small town BofA. This is the only location in town aside from a vestibule at the Y that is poorly maintained (last year the ceiling fell apart and leaked water in there for a couple weeks). Most employees are pretty friendly and don't deserve to be thrown under the bus for what is clearly upper management and/or tight labor costs, because they're consistently under-staffed. I just want to point out that it went downhill long before the lockdown of 2020. Now it's just even worse because of the pandemic. A lot of things may be out of this location's control, but not having functioning ATM's (BofA by far has the slowest, most inconvenient ATM's, taking upwards of 5 minutes to deposit money and not being allowed to deposit cash and checks at the same time like most other ATMs which is not just a time waste but a safety issue), being closed on a normal business day without any signage as to why, debit cards that fade and stop working after less than a year, the monthly maintenance fee despite having consistent money flowing into the account, it's just these little things that add up to an irritating experience and it makes me wonder why I don't just switch banks. Demand better service and less fees. Banks made 11.68 billion dollars in 2019 on overdraft fees alone. They have the money and resources to staff appropriately, remain open past 4 PM, and have efficient ATMs.

The service is sporadic at best. Today we were unable to deposit cash into our account because they were unable to open the vault. They would only deposit checks. Previously, the bank was closed off and on for a week or so. We had to make an appointment so they could send someone up from Sacramento to open so we could access our safe deposit box.

They are having construction done which is fine but…. Went there at 10 this morning and there were 10 people standing outside. That’s a no. Came back at 12:50, they close at 1 for construction I suppose. Walk up and the guard says they are closed, I show him my phone and it says 12:54. He says, Sorry, they closed early for appointments. Your hours are short enough already. I have business to do and you people would not understand, I would guess….

Ashley was super nice and helpful, the first time in my life I've ever walked into a bank and sat down with a banker without an appointment. Very hard worker and customer service is top notch.

Beyond belief... There is NO REASON why they cannot keep their doors open. EVERY OTHER BANK in Lake Tahoe is open during normal business hours. Moreover, one of the staff THREATENED to close my corporate account for taking a video of what transpired...!!! I propose a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

Branch is temporarily closed on Friday. The 800 number says they're open. On one the few days I needed cash over the ATM limit. Had to drive to Carson City

Worst service ever. I rushed to get there by their 4:00? closing time. Doors were locked though it wasn’t 4:00. An employee was there but would not let me in. Always randomly closed. Why am I paying a service fee for a bank that is NEVER open? I have banked with B of A since 1981 and have never had any issues with other branches. The Tahoe branch has steadily gone downhill. Time to take my business elsewhere.

      Response from the owner

Bank has been randomly closed for the past week. I have a check that needs cashed that is over the mobile limit, the debit card I’ve ordered twice still has never arrived so I can’t deposit in the ATM and the entire branch just decided to close for a week. I have no way to access my money. Great service.
