I initially was pleasantly surprised by how quick and efficient the process was. I din't realize until after the loan closed that there was a catch. I was charged a $857 processing fee. As a previous banker I am aware that processing fees like this aren't standard, as lenders make thousands of dollars in interest on loans. To add in hidden fees in addition to the interest gained is unscrupulous. So I caution you to review your loan agreement and keep an eye out for such fees. For my part I will ensure I refinance this loan ASAP. They may have gained the processing fee that will lose all the interest they could have earned on my loan had they been ethical in their lending practices with me.”

The convenience of a one stop shop for all realty needs should have been suspicious but we took the bait. The entire loan and title experience with Southstar Title & Escrow LLC ("supposedly" run by one of the Elite Home partner's wife) is very shady. The rate promised was to be "competitive" with the market - only until you shop around and realize you are being taken for a fun ride (at your cost and not fun for you). So if you have some degree of common sense and are even 50% smart you will realize the realtor is not working for your benefit but has his in mind taking advantage of his customer's either economical and/or social vulnerabilities and god forbid if you ask any logical questions, it gets worse for you. If you were unhappy with any of your realtors you worked with in the past or currently are; after working with SouthStar and Metro Elite, you will realize how terrific your other realtors actually are. It cant get any worse than Metro Elite and SouthStar's shady mom and pop business model. They will stay in business by taking advantage of people who do not know any better, either because of a less than ideal credit score or some other limitation. Poor customer service, unethical business model – enough said.”

I settled on the Friday before President’s day weekend and was told they would send me the final closing docs through email and I would have my wire on Tuesday. When I didn’t see my wire Tuesday afternoon I started to worry so I called the office. After several unsuccessful attempts at trying to get through to someone, I emailed and got their out of office. Here I was, no closing docs, no money and now the office isn’t answering because they are away. My agent made several attempts to contact them as well. I did end up getting my six figure deposit on Wednesday night, and never did get a call from Ed after requesting a call through email several times. As a first time seller, Fireside made it a horrible experience and never even apologized for their error and my hassle!”
