If you go to a dealership and they say you have been accepted for financing with this company please DON’T DO IT. Just because you have a lower credit score or may fall on hard times you deserve to be treated with respect. This company will call you the first day your car is late and start to threaten. They prey on individuals that believe they have to put up with this behavior cause they have low credit scores. I paid every month on my car for over a year, fell on hard financial times and the threats began. I told them I had never missed a payment and they stated all my payment history is irrelevant. THEY FORCE A REPO ON YOU!! I have the entire conversation recorded when the supervisor stated they blocked my account so I couldn’t make a payment and they were coming to get my car. MY VEHICLE WAS NOT EVEN A MONTH PAST DUE AND THE DAY I TOLD THEM I WOULD MAKE THE PAYMENT IS THE DAY I WALKED OUT AND MY CAR WAS GONE!!! They intentionally block your account so you can’t make your payment and pick up your car. I am filing against them for illegal business practices as I believe they feel that we are slow mentally since we have poor credit. I make my payments in cash through 7-Eleven. I have COVID -19 tested positive and got really sick. I called to tell them I was going to be late on my payment because I had COVID and they transferred me to this person with the name Irene. She was very rude and unprofessional. I couldn’t find anyone to make my payments on Friday (yesterday) so she called today Saturday. I answered the phone and explained to her I had no one to make the payment for me and that I had the payment in cash. She was very rude and unprofessional and hanged up on me. But I did explain that I wasn’t going to put other people at risk just because she wanted the payment now that it didn’t work like that. I have paperwork of my test being positive but she didn’t care. I will be going to 7-Eleven after I post this to make my payment I apologize to my community. I will try to be extra careful and I will tell the clerk I am positive but that Gold Acceptance wants their payment NOW. I can’t afford for Gold Acceptance to come and take the car away.
