I had a very negative experience regarding my I9 form's section 2 for a new job. There's a long story regarding this, but no one wants to hear a journal entry, I'm sure. It's just that I used to live in big cities like Charlotte or even Dallas Fort-Worth area for six years. I honestly think that their attitude is primarily due to Williamston being a small town, and they're accustomed to dealing with "front-line" workers. I have had a notary fill out section 2 of the I9 form as an authorized representative, even before the pandemic. Whenever I got to a notary public, they know exactly what to do there. I don't need to make an appointment; just show up. Many times they don't even charge me. If the staff reads this, I want to point out that I didn't want to come here to get this handled, mostly because I assumed that I had to make an appointment. I told my mom, because I moved in with them during the pandemic, that I was going to Greenville, NC, to get it resolved, and she didn't want me to drive there. So, I came to this bank to get section 2 of my I-9 form filled out. But they couldn't handle it. The notary seemed rude. I don't know what I did to cause the bank's notary to become irritated, but she appeared unfriendly to me. She gave me the impression that she thought that I was trying to do something shady. I showed her the instructions from my employer that show an example of a notary signing section 2 of the I9 form. Because I did ask for confirmation from the manager, she and her manager suggested that I talk to a lawyer. I'm not trying to sound mean here, but if you just Google search how to get section 2 of your I9 form, nowhere does it say that you need to talk to a lawyer. The manager even mentioned something about notary class, stating that they can't notarize it, and I tried to explain to them I didn't need to have it "notarized," but an "authorized representative" required to fill out section 2 and my employer wanted a notary to sign it. I left; I wasn't able to get it taken care of that day. The next day, my mom insisted that she come with me to the bank because she was sure that I had somehow not communicated to these people properly. My mom was certain that I didn't need to drive to another town to get this resolved. I am glad that she did because my mom witnessed how rude the entire bank staff was! The woman at the counter even slammed her name tag on the counter. I called Wells Fargo's main office, as per my mom's request. She stayed inside while I walked outside to take care of my dog while on the phone. Wells Fargo's office couldn't give me an answer as to whether or not the bank's notary could fill out section 2 of the I9 form as an authorized representative. I called their primary number many times, and they responded that the banks provide notary services. No one could give me specifics if a company-wide policy stated that no notary could fill out section 2 of the I9 form. But, I made sure to leave a complaint about them since the bank manager or whomever my mom talked to did slam her name tag on the counter. Eventually, my mom came out of the bank while I was on the phone and said that the woman apologized to her and procured a piece of paper that said they couldn't. Having that knowledge from the start would have saved us much time, even better if I didn't bother trying with anyone in Williamston. But, that's a long story and not relevant to the review. I just had a challenging, unpleasant experience with the staff here.

They need to figure out a better way to service customers from the Drive thru... Delays are way too long. Management might need to consider assisting at Drive Thru point of service.

All the folks who worked for Wachovia in Williamston, NC, are wonderful..Wells Fargo, however, isn't. Their online banking is just awful.
