WCCU Credit Union N Main St, Westby

Used to be an ok credit union, unfortunately they have gone down hill especially in Viroqua. They have horrible debit card fees, the loan department is slow as well as the assessors they use. They are afraid of deposits especially on the mobile app. Making it useless. They have since changed the policy on earning interest so unlikely new members will benefit. Unfortunately Vernon County doesn't have many good options for financial services or banking. If possible I'd go the extra mile and go to La cross, or Summit credit union in the Dane County or Sauk County. They have a great mobile bank and don't have ATM fees.

WCCU Credit Union in Westby, Wisconsin is one of the best community banks I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Please help them in their collection of hat and glove drive and of course supporting our community. They have many things that go on to support our community so stop in and support them and our local community and our shops in our community. I love our little farm community.

By far the best credit union or bank anywhere! I have had too many instances that they have proven how great they are, that if I were to type them up it'll take me years. Never an issue, always got a same day call back, and never had a single issue. Even when I lived in Louisiana, I stayed with them and they were more that satisfactory during that period.

Wrote a check to my girlfriend. She took it to her bank which happened to be WCCU. They refused to cash it. She ended up going to my bank on the other end of Viroqua. Thought about switching to them but this changed my mind.

does a REALLY good job getting money. Over 280 i over draft fees in less the a week including a $20 fee on a 0.99 hold

WCCU has the best interest rate on a checking account that I have ever seen!! I even work at a bank in Texas but I would NEVER switch my primary banking to anywhere else. Very pleased for the last 6 years 😀 Thank you for taking care of your members!

This bank or “credit union” is by far the worst bank I have ever worked with and I have never dealt with worse customer service in my entire life (and I even work in the customer service industry)! I unfortunately have had a car loan with WCCU for the past 4 years now and there is not a single hoop you have to jump through to keep them happy - yes you heard that right - you must keep them happy, not they keep you, the customer, happy. And if WCCU makes a mistake or you want something done, you pretty much have to call, message, email, or contact them in some sort of way at the very minimum 101 times until they start to understand what you want or actually do what you want them to do. You also have to talk to at least 5 different people before you get your answer if you have a question or need something done, every single time you call. The consistency to what they tell their customers their “rules or policies” are are absolutely asinine. One minute customers are allowed to do this, and the next it’s something completely different. Or this person can do that, but another one can’t. And if you want to make any changes to your account information, let’s say for example if you move far away and you get a new phone number - even if you can confirm who you are over the phone to an associate with multiple identifications and have have all of your account information to also confirm it’s you and it’s your account - that still doesn’t matter. You actually have to come into the bank and confirm your identity to change any account information. Also, if you manage to finally get something done it takes a minimum of 5-7 business to accomplish this process. If I would have known of all these ridiculous problems with this bank before I went for my car loan I think I would have rather road my bike to work every day. This company is trash. Don’t ever do business with them.

So WCCU does a interal withdraw from my Altra Federal account four days before the loan is due but then sends a letter telling me I’m past due on that month? I have bank statement proof they took it out. Honestly? I am very happy my wife and I pulled our money away from you guys and now bank with a well respected bank. WCCU is a joke. It’s not the first time they done it to me and knowing them it will not be the last. If I could I’d give you NO STARS.

I have only been dealing with WCCU since November 2014.....I can never remember banking being so simple and easy. The people there are great to work with !!!!!!

The single best bank in southwest Wisconsin. They make banking as simple as it can be.
