Regina Harris-Goard1Totally DEGRADED! I have been a member of this bank for over 20 years so I decided to take my 14yr old grandson, who I am raising, to put him on an account attached to me so he will start learning how to deposit his money he saved and to get him on a debit account. A Branch Manger, Larry Clements asked what can he do for me and I explained what I needed. His initial reaction toward my African American grandson was negative from the start. He looked at my grandson and said, "you got an ID". In a no respect manner. He took it and then told him, that he was attached to his mother's account which of course was a negative balance and he ," first of all you are not old enough to have an account attached on a debit card and you need to pay your connected account off first before I can add you on another account." Now someone tell me who makes a 14yr old pay for an adults account that he had no knowledge of? (STEAMING) Anyway my grandson being the good hearted person he is, paid this negative balance for his mom and this Branch Manger, Larry Clements then tried to make my grandson close his mother's account. How can this Manager tell this minor he can close an adults account? Larry Clements then tell my grandson if he did not close the account, he would not put him on another account with me. That did it for me! Thank goodness for the cell phone because I had to tell him he lied and technology was a blessing. He didn't tell him that he needed to close it before he can get on my account, he told him if he pay it off, then he can be on my account. It is no telling how many people he has lied to. I am so unhappy with this branch right now. I want to go the legal route to show they have a mistrusted person working for them. It was so sad and hurtful towards my grandson, he had never had to experience someone try to put his character down before. This man at Farmville Virginia Credit Union bust his bubble with discrimination the first time in his life.

russell morris1Worst Virginia credit union branch I have ever been to in my life. Denise lacks training and education in the banking department. Doesn’t know what checks to deposit I had to call vacu personally on the phone and have them train Denise on depositing the check. So after wasting 2 days. I finally got Denise to deposit the check. This morning I closed my account with Virginia credit union after being a member for over 8 years. Stay away from this bank The manager is never there and the bank lacks training.
Response from the ownerHi Russell. We do apologize about your experience and would like to schedule a time to give you a call. Could you please email us your contact information and a good time to reach out at [email protected]?
