They are not solving any fraud issues that might arise in your account. They have long hold times. The tellers at this store will not let you do more than one transaction then you have to get in the drive through line again. They tell you that they will not file the reports on fraud in your account and the fraud department needs you to in person verify your identity. The bank manager changed about 6 months ago and the customer service has gone down hill since. KIM thank you for the reply. I have called the fraud department several times. They returned the overdraft fees but never removed the charges that someone else did on my credit card.

      Response from the owner

Hello Anita, I'm sorry to hear you are the victim of fraud. In order to have a fraud claim initiated, you must speak with the fraud group. There are different fraud groups depending on the type of account and transaction that posted fraudulently. To be sure you have the best number to call, we recommend that you reach out to Customer Service at 800.872.2657. A specialist will be glad to directly you to the fraud group who can help with your claim. I hope this helps! ^Kim

Worst home buying experience of my entire life, not only that this is the second home purchase I have had this year so it’s not my first rodeo in 2020. Filled out all required applications for said home loan and dropped all required information and documents off beginning/mid October. Then was pre-approved for purchase of new home. 6 days later my old home had an offer I accept 14 hours after that I found my next house and had an offer in and accepted. Closing dates were set and loan/home mortgage officer was aware it was during thanksgiving week. That’s when the phone calls started and true colors of us bank came thru. I was not told of an application fee but I had an idea but oh yea $395 charge no biggy without a hey just so you know. Then the Wednesday 18th I get another call from us bank loan guy but I’m working and I miss it. Then 2 hours later get a call from my relator who is also a family friend and informs me the loan guy tells her if I don’t return his call we aren’t gonna close on time and it’s not us banks fault. Mind you we close on the 25th, 7 days away. So I call him back and ask what he needs. He requests all documentation that I have provided to him when I originally applied for the loan. I am not heightened and uncomfortable with how my personal information is being handled, and he needs to contact my HR to verify employment, ok well why are you waiting last minute before a holiday week and since this is Wisconsin and opening for gun deer season a holiday weekend? No real reply. Friday roles around get another call from loan officer, who still has yet to contact my hr, I have now lost my professionalism and let him have it. How can this wait until the last possible minute and before a holiday week? This is piss poor planning and service not only that I have yet to see anything close to figures or numbers on affordability of this new house. No real reply. Half hour later my hr person gets a form to fill out and I a rough numbers. Wednesday November 25th closing day 4 hours before closing, loan officer calls me and tells me we are unable to close today and I now have to pay off my Harley Davidson loan of only $8044.80 but I’m bringing $46k to the closing but because of covid I haven’t made enough yet this year. I go to the local 20th St branch here in Oshkosh to wire transfer the funds because after wasting an hour on the phone I finally got someone who had a clue how I could wire transfer money fast which the loan officer did nothing of the sorts. I complained to the branch manager and that didn’t seem to do much at even with how much money I put thru their bank, and was told I had to obtain a document from the other bank saying my Harley was paid and lien released. The loan officer sent an email to the realtors stating we were all set to close for now the 30th a Monday which screws everything and plans up. But then the next day calls me stating we cannot close until I obtain the lien release document. I was floored because I knew he lied to the realtors and all credibility was out the window now. I then got a email stating I needed to pick up the check for home loan amount from the bank from the mortgage overseeing lady that helped the loan officer which he was cc’d on and he replied I needed to also grab the difference of the $47k in a cashiers check. I arrive at the bank new day of closing Monday November 30, loan officer has said home loan check and went to my closing. I calll my realtor all I need is the difference I grab that and head over. Loan officer sits in the corner, never said thank you matt no gifts no nothing but a good screwing and life lesson.

I updated my information at a branch the same day I took about $3,000 out to buy a vehicle. The banker failed to inform me that they would be issuing me a new card but didn't forget to interrogate me about why I wanted my own money. I used my card for two months before getting declined/invalid response at a gas station. I think I'll be using this as a secondary institution from now on to avoid these issues.

      Response from the owner

I've had a very pleasant and smooth purchase of a home through US Bank. This branch has been nothing but polite and able to serve my needs.

Opened an account here and they took my opening deposit from my other bank twice, leaving me with no useable funds for over a week. I went in to this office for assistance and the old, worn-out banker was not interested in figuring out why it happened, rather offered to empty the account for me and hand me my cash once it was confirmed. This location offers temporary debit cards and had that been offered to me I would have rather done that but when I asked the banker said they don't do that. I decided to just take my cash out, let the account rot and say forget US Bank completely. There are other banks.

I am not marking this as one star, because they do have some great services here. And all of the workers are usually polite and helpful! But here is the deal: the implementation of Republican Bush Era PATRIOT Act rules, specifically treating regular customers like criminals, is unacceptable. You cannot ask regular people depositing cash "Where you got this money?"! I am sorry, I don't live in the "Police State" or "Fascist state". It is not your business! And it won't be any business for you if you keep this incorrect implementation of the law up. Definitely telling everyone I know about this one... They have their poor clerks dance around and force them strike up conversations, "Oh, is this a gift you got?" "Went to travel, and have extra cash left"?

US Bank Oshkosh is an excellent financial institution. I've banked with Credit Unions and other Banks - and US Bank is a Five Star place to do business. The mortgage department looked after every detail on my for sale by owner and worked closely with the title company. Okay - so they sponsor the Vikings new stadium and I am a Packers fan - but this Bank is every where I visit in the United States. Highly Recommended !!!

      Response from the owner

Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this complimentary review for your local branch. We're so glad to hear that the mortgage department was able to help you through your home selling process! We appreciate you and hope you have a great day! The U.S. Bank Social Media Team
