I absolutely hate this bank. I have been with them years (since before 2006) and keep encountering the same issues. We are a military family so I no longer live in state. I try to pay my vehicle loan and they NEVER had the right info on file when I wanted to do a wire transfer costing me a return fee. I called numerous times before asking them to get my info on file right so I eventually had to be that nasty customer who went off to get it fixed. I also had the issue of whoever is on the phone says they will do something and make notes but DO NOT! Literally just finished another call and he said the only note he sees is from December, and granted I said this has been happening over a year now! I have called every month for a year because they can not follow simple instructions in a wire transfer. Or I'm calling because they haven't followed directions making me "late" on payments and then bothering me. I am so glad that I am almost done paying this vehicle loan and will be beyond happy I no longer have to bank or do business with them EVER AGAIN! It's ridiculous how unprofessional this branch is if you are not doing face to face business.

Horrible experience, especially during the difficult times we are going through as a country when you can’t physically walk into the building. My husband and I felt discriminated upon, as a Notary Public myself, I know the rules, while we provided all required documents, teller refused to provide notary services. Never had experienced that in any other branch before! Perhaps training their drive-thru staff to provide equal treatment to ALL customers will benefit both parties.

I've banked with SECU for many years and have always had positive experiences until I came to this branch. Granted the only reason I came to this branch was due to an out of town car purchase (my home branch is 1.5 hours from Charlotte) so convenience was the key part of using this branch. Upon using them for convenience I came into contact with the most unprofessional, unorganized, and unknowledgeable people I've ever met at an SECU branch. When buying a car 1.5 hours from my home I will gladly go out of my way and avoid the convenience factor of this branch due to the horrible experience I had. Luckily the dealership made up for the awfulness of this branch....which wasn't even their problem or error to begin with. I encourage anyone with SECU to bank at another branch location because this one if by far the worst!

A former co-worker friend of mine was trying to buy my work truck and needed a loan so he could pay me for the truck. We went in there with the title, all the proper paperwork and everything was good to go until they found out that he's self-employed and they were going to need more time to verify his tax returns with official IRS transcripts. The guy makes about $90,000 a year. I think he can handle a $17,000 loan. This all took almost two weeks and then they wanted to verify his last two addresses, taking even more time. Finally 15 days later they call us in, and after waiting around a good 30-40 minutes, everything is ready to go until they find out that it's a commercial vehicle and not a personal vehicle. That's when they tell us NCSECU won't do any type of commercial vehicle or business type loans. Really? You have two weeks to figure this stuff out and you can't tell us until the last minute. Unbelievable. So I just want to say I will never or do any sort of business with NCSECU after this frustrating experience. Just a total waste of time for everyone involved

My husband went to go see a loan officer for a loan. Who was very rude and nasty. He didnt speak and denied a loan we needed for kids going back to school. Which ok was not a problem but he went in the back to talk to woman and they actually sit in there and laugh when he told her my husband needed for school stuff. So unprofessional...people have moments where after bills get paid no money left for other things that are needed...this is not first loan and been with them for 6 years and never been treated like this ill never go back to that location. That loan officer is obviously in the wrong business customer service horrible! Oh yeah be careful his name was Alex Hege.

The first teller I spoke to after being totally ignored or invisible was smug and condescending. I asked about opening an account he said I would need $25 dollars and a social security card, as if I had neither . I told him I don't think I wanted to do business with them.

Quick, easy, and I had a really nice teller who was able to make conversation and still complete the transaction in a timely manner.

Just a horrible customer experience in every way possible. No sense of helping the customer, just protecting their own interest.
