Ben Bonneville5Cody went the extra mile to get me approved for a credit card. I told him I wanted a card without a security deposit and he hooked me up with a different underwriter who was able to get me what I needed.

vonb4A credit union that doesn't call itself a CU and that's okay. Fancy building and a very large institution but I think it's still better than the typical national or regional bank. Sometimes they seem very out of touch until you meet someone in person. Everyone I've met, from reception, teller, to rep has been very nice. It's ideal to not have to go in but when you do it's pretty nice inside. Deposits made easy at the old fashioned chute outside or the cool ATMs.

Stephen Xirinachs1Refinanced with St. Mary’s from Wells Fargo to save some money, that worked. A few months later in January, we moved from NH to CT, upon attempting to register our vehicle, the DMV informed us that we need to have the title sent by our lien holder (St. Mary’s). St. Mary’s informed us that they weren’t in possession of our title and attempted to blame it on Wells Fargo. Like you’d expect, Wells Fargo then pointed the blame at St. Mary’s. To get this far took about a month, mind you our vehicle registration is up at the end of March and we are now headed into it. Days go by between emails back, and we start to realize the banks, most likely, lost our title. So now it’s mid June, our car has been unregistered since March 31st so we cannot drive it without the risk of being pulled over and towed on the spot. The solution to this problem that was given to us by a St. Mary’s official was to “tell the cop the story”. They’ve now taken 3 car payments from us for a car we cannot drive because of their awful communication and organization. Not to mention they are telling us that we pay for a new title to be printed. The last line of communication that we had, and it was an email from May 18th. This place is a joke.

Jackie smith5Very high quality banking. Professional staff willing to help or answer any questions. And the inside remodel is just wonderful. Really gives you a sense of comfort and security.

Tim Doucette5I think all to often we talk about the bad when it comes to our experience with how we were treated. Not to often do we talk about the good. I would like to thank all the wonderful people at St. Mary's bank. I went through a two year divorce and I was court ordered to pay on a car that I did not have in my possession, I fell behind on the loan and not once was I treated disrespectfully, I dealt with Britney and Jo-Ann and they even sent me to collections for all the right reason and I understood why never once blaming them or the bank. Not once where these ladies out of line, never threating and they where the very kind and caring at a time where they could have been very assertive. I would like to say thank you all for being so kind and caring and I would recommend St. Mary's to anyone who is looking for people that care and understand!! I will do business with you folks again! Thank you!!

Melanie Coleman5Closed last night on a personal loan and it was the easiest, least painful process ever! Truly, no stress at all, Eric (awesome loan officer) was super responsive, flexible and made the whole experience smooth - even better that I could do it all from my house! Definitely will be working with St Mary’s for any needs I have.

KASSAUNDRA DUDASH1Messed up closing, sold mortgage within three months to another company, still signing paperwork from our closing three months out, being asked to LIE on documents we signed after we moved in and say we signed them prior to our closing and dating them then, paperwork not being turned in and causing miss of tax credits to start. Letting you pay your auto loan more than 30 days out on the app and advancing the due date all to find out it didn’t count and you need to rearrange everything to meet a payment you already thought you made. I strongly urge anyone to look elsewhere if you want a “one stop shop” where you will feel supported or even empathized with because they clearly aren’t it.

Christine Murphy1We used to love this credit union. Everything was fine until they made the foolish decision to "upgrade" their online banking system. It's been nothing but a hassle since then. For a time, I could not even log into the account when the "upgrade" was completed, even though I followed the instructions they sent out to the letter. They finally fixed that, so at least now I can see my account balance and use their online bill pay service. But we have not gotten a statement in three months now. Several months before this "upgrade", they announced that if we still wanted monthly statements sent in the mail, it would cost $2/month. So I signed up for e-statements, where they email the statements each month, plus they are supposed to be available on the website when you log into your account. And for a while, it was fine, no problems. But now - no statements since November, not emailed, not snail-mailed, and not under e-statements on the website in the account. We have no way of balancing our checking account because of these people, and you can't get through on the phone because there are 9,000 other people in the queue, waiting to complain about the same problem. WHY DON'T THEY JUST FIX IT? They really should have left well enough alone. We're getting ready to find a new credit union, because this is ridiculous.

Chris Risler1I recently financed a home purchase through St. Mary's. The experience itself was less than adequate with poor communication at every step. I had a very simple loan and plenty of time to close. The loan rate was lowered by a point if the funds were transferred from a St. Mary's account (which is also the rate they initially tell you and process the paperwork with). Not only did I see fees hitting the accounts before direct deposits even had a chance to go through, but their online banking interface is ancient. I have been banking online with Bank of America for over 10 years and I am pretty confidant that their system was more advanced than St. Mary's is today. Less money towards the fancy building and more towards functional systems.
