Silk is my go to title company. They always go above and beyond to solve any issue or problem that may arise as a mortgage originator. I have never had a company that I have worked with be as responsive and helpful as they are. They value their clients and relationships and show it by having a solution every time I have some weird situation or request to get a deal done. Where’s my money? This company must be struggling to remain in business. We used them to close and said they were estimating too much for taxes. This company said nope, that’s what we need and we sent them a check for $1,500 more than what our estimate was for taxes to close. They overpaid the county tax office and the county sent a refund to them in early November 2021. We called the county tax office about the refund and the county tax office said they mailed the check back to this company. We contacted this company and were told that they never received the check from the county tax office. This required additional paperwork and the county tax office sent another check in early December 2021. This company said they didn’t receive it and they can’t mail us the refund until they get the check, deposit the check and wait for the check to clear. Then they can mail me our money. I’m still waiting for my money and recommend that you NOT use this company. It will cost you if you do. - FOLLOWING up: The company did respond to this post and said they are waiting on the money from the tax office. The tax office told me they sent the money to this company 13 December 2021. I’m still waiting for my money.

A loan was due to close on the Monday after Christmas Eve. Thursday, Christmas Eve, a unexpected problem arose and it was determined we needed more information from the borrower and would have to delay the closing. However, late in the day, Silk was able to work with us to remedy the problem when other vendors most certainly would have pushed the closing back. Silk Title and their employees went the extra mile, at a tough time of the year, to ensure the borrower was able to close on time and enjoy Christmas with her family. This is one of the many reasons we work with Silk Title and highly value them as an integral business partner now and for years to come.
