I wanted to use another title company but the seller as per the agent contracted this so called business. The agent tells me that i could pick up earnest money on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest, when I call its like they don't want to give me back my 1,000 dollars. I finally spoke to Ally and she tells me that the lady who makes the checks doesn't work on them everyday. Ally confirmed the release was received and that it would take 10 days for me to get my check. I have been calling them since Monday. I keep telling them I will pick it up and the staff keeps telling me I wanted it mailed. Advise use professional seasoned companies. Companies that have been in existence for a long time and are not shady.

I contacted Rebecca Garcia, Notary ID#13233051-0, to get my copy of the Warranty Deed. She told me on 2-23-2022 that she would mail the documents that afternoon. On 3-2-2022 I called the title company and again talked to Ms. Garcia and told her that I had not received the documents. She told me that she would overnight via FedEx the Warranty Deed and I confirmed my address. I did not receive any documents. On 3-4-2022 I left a voice mail with Ms. Garcia about the lack of the documents and I never heard back from her. There is a total lack of professionalism and customer service with San Jacinto Title Services at the McAllen office. I do not recommend the use of this company for any title work.

Over the years I've dealt with numerous title companies in both buying and selling homes. San Jacinto Title in McAllen is hands down the WORST I've worked with. They could not spell names correctly, could not enter correct information on the closing docs, even after we repeatedly corrected and sent back what they sent us. We finally had to just strike through all the errors and write in the corrections ourselves. That is not the quality of service you want when hundreds of thousands of dollars are at stake. If you are buying or selling a home in McAllen area, find another Title Company as you cannot trust San Jacinto to get it right. One week after closing and they still have not provided signed copies of closing documents, despite numerous requests. Looking now into filing a complaint with the State of Texas.

If you are selling a property, have a Homestead exemption on that property, and need the property taxes prorated for the sale, this title company will not honor the Homestead Exemption amount. You will have to pay the prorated amount based on the full property tax amount. So basically you end up paying more than you should.

Closing on my home was delayed by several days due to the person handling my account, Erica. I was closing remotely, she really didn't make herself available during that time to answer questions about some of the documents. She also didn't send any info on how to submit cash to close. I called several times, last time I spoke to her she said she would send me the info in 10 minutes, and nothing. Weekend came and went and I never heard from her. Found it really unprofessional. All my realtor could say is "yeah, some title companies are like that." I fail to see how this type of service is acceptable.

Overall I had a great experience with San Jacinto from beginning to end. A small issue did come up after closing, but the team was always quick to respond to get everything resolved as fast as possible. I honestly wouldn’t have gone with anyone else in the RGV. A big thanks to Elda for always being helpful & professional!

Not a title company I recommend. They need to work on their time management and writing things down. Either they forget or there is a lack of accountability within the team. Very slow on responding and delivering on items requested and pending. Find another title company.

Worst title company, closing was delayed several times, call many times and they promise to call back with answers, never happened, same story with warranty deed, stay away from this company.

Went to San Jacinto Title Services for a curb side closing. They brought the papers to my car . They were ready to signed. Every place were we had to highlighted for easy access. Once we were done, the papers were picked up. A few minutes later, we received a copy of what we had signed and we were on our way. The whole process took less than an hour. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend this title company.

Unprofessional. Unorganized. Lack of communication. No call backs. As I buyer during option period I terminated contract through my agent. Both parties signed paper work. It has been two weeks and no return of my escrow. No call backs, no answers. I would NOT use this title company Seller is under contract with new buyer, how is this possible when I still have earnest money held in escrow.
