Roanoke Valley Community Credit Union 5th St, Roanoke

Worked with Melissa on a recent purchase. She always makes the financing process so incredibly easy, despite my chaotic schedule. This time she was able to help me get everything handled electronically and zero stress! So thankful for Melissa at the North Roanoke branch!

I have been a member of RVCCU for years now and am pleased with my credit union as a whole. Recently, I went to this branch to apply for a loan and worked with Melissa Brooks. She was extremely accommodating and helpful. I usually use the downtown branch. However, the downtown branch said I had to fill out my application online. The application wouldn't load so I emailed the person at the branch that said I had to fill out the application online and received no response. This is why I tried a different branch. Melissa let me fill out the loan application in the branch and helped me get approved within a few hours. I greatly appreciate her professionalism and service. I will be using this branch from now on. I do recommend RVCCU for your banking needs and highly recommend this branch located at 723 5th Street NE for an efficient, personable, and welcoming experience. Thank you again Melissa!

I went to the location off of Williamson road I started going to this location the service is outstanding. I use to go to the downtown location. They are horrible they need attitude adjustments, go to the Williamson road location you will be taken care there.

Not the best experience had to go to 5th street branch I’ve been banking there for years had to close an account for a deceased loved one got info that I had to wait a week had to go to another branch to then find out I could fix it today staff at front counter need to be more friendly and less of like I should be proud to be helped by them lucky I don’t always have to go in there and usually use the drive through. Highly recommend the north branch friendly when I walked in and was more than happy to fix my issue.

There is an employee by the name of Melissa that needs to be fired for slandering me and another person. Our attorney will be in touch.

Back in December 2017 I had a bad experience 2 of the employees. One works in the office and others behind the counter. The one in the office she was very rude. I should have file a complaint on both of them. You guys need to upgrade on your recording system. Everytime I check my bank recordings sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. It's happens too often. I have to drive all the way to the bank to see what's on my account.

I am having an extremely difficult time trying to make my monthly payments on my credit card. I have to go in the bank to make a payment because I pay with my debit card from another bank. Since Covid, you cannot go inside, which now restaurants are open! It's JUNE! They won't let me pay at the window with a different debit card. They won't let me pay at the ATM, They won't let me pay over the phone! And when I thought it paid over the phone, they refunded my payment back and said I don't have to pay anything, once again because of COVID! I want to make my payments! I don't want to keep paying the credit union interest! I'm done with them! I'll pay it off, take my money out of savings and leave!

Their banking methods are an inconvenience at best, and archaic at worst. You can't do anything without going in to see them in person-- even signing up for mobile banking! They charge you if you don't use your account, but won't do anything to help you access your money if something goes wrong. Whenever I call, the person on the other end sounds listless and uncaring, and does not offer to go out of their way to help remedy a situation. There's been nothing but trouble at every step of the way, and nothing I've experienced has indicated that the trouble is worth anything.
