I went into the branch today thinking that they had a paper shredding bin like another location did. As I entered the branch manager was behind me and asked if I needed help. I told her that I was looking to see if they had a shredding location and she said they didn't but she said that should be glad to shred them in her office. She didn't even ask if I was member and just helped. I think that speaks volumes to the kind of service there and I am glad I have my accounts with Onpoint.

My drivers license and Proof of address was required to open an account. Something with an address printed as stated on my drivers license. Who Carrys this type of proof on themselves. I got up to walk away and had a thought so I asked if an online insurance card. This specialist was going to let me walk out if I had not said something.

      Response from the owner

Kip, We're happy to hear that you were able to find a reference for your address and apologize for the inconvenience in needing an address to open your account. Since we are a credit union, we have specific requirements around who can become a member - adhering to these requirements is necessary so that we may remain a credit union and provide great services for our membership. We understand how this could be frustrating since it may have resulted in an unnecessary trip. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us via phone or online and we would be happy to help so that you don't waste any time. Was there anything else that we could have done to make your visit a better one? Thanks for opening your new account - we're excited to have you as a member and look forward to the opportunity to create a more positive experience moving forward. Best, -OnPoint

A warning to all who would consider banking here: don’t. We transferred to OnPoint just over a year ago when we started our first home loan with them. Everything was fine until we really needed them to be as upstanding and as supportive of their community as their advertising claims to be. We unfortunately had fraudulent activity on our online profile and our checking and savings account were drained. Completely. Everything is gone. We reported this to OnPoint as soon as we were able to and filed a fraud dispute. Their response was to send us a letter telling us it was our fault. That per the Member Account and Agreement we agreed not to share our information to anyone not authorized to access our accounts or devices. We didn’t share our information. Our information was stolen. We have reached out to members of their loss prevention department with voicemails and emails and have had no response. We visited the branch earlier today and asked to speak with the Bank Manager who was busy. We were told she or the assistant manager would call us back to schedule a time to meet. Imagine being in the middle of planning your wedding and suddenly all the money you’d saved up is just gone. Imagine feeling safe at home because your bills were paid and now suddenly you’re behind on everything and dealing with late fees as well. Shame on the person who hacked into our account. And shame on OnPoint for not having the backs of their customers.

      Response from the owner

Caitlin, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand that you have been able to connect with our Branch Manager and that your dispute has been escalated further to our security team for review. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else. Sincerely, -OnPoint

Thank You Nancy for letting us know about our error and taking care of this. Truly showing the difference between a credit union and a big bank where your just another number.

      Response from the owner

My wife and I have been with OnPoint for five years and have loved every service we've tried! The staff is always friendly and efficient. We decided to get our car loans through them and I am truly grateful for that. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they offered their "Skip a Payment" service for April, May, and June. After my wife and I went from a dual-income to single-income household, being able to skip these payments meant that we were still able to afford rent and food during those months. Thank you, OnPoint! I can't wait to work with you to get a home loan in 2021!

      Response from the owner

Lauren, Thanks for sharing! We're happy to hear that the skip-pay opportunity helped your family during this difficult time. We appreciate your support and look forward to helping you with a home loan next year! Best, -OnPoint

This is my go-to, favorite branch, and the staff here are ALWAYS very friendly and kind. Sometimes you might be waiting quite awhile and others you can zip right through. In recent years they have really managed to step up their speed of service and efficiency. You often will never quite know when the crowds will start to shuffle in, or how energized and fast of a day the staff will be having. All in all however, the staff are incredibly helpful and again very kind, and are happy to help with any questions you have.

      Response from the owner

Hi Danerd, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Our team is always happy to help! Glad to have you as part of the OnPoint family. Sincerely, OnPoint Community Credit Union

I FINALLY switched my banking to OnPoint after moving to the PNW 6 years ago. I have always been partial to credit unions over bigger banks and this credit union came recommended by few friends and family members. After doing some more research, I decided to take the jump and join OnPoint. Erica helped me open an account and not only was it super smooth, easy and quick, she was incredibly personable throughout the whole process. Shortly after I opened my account, I found a car that I wanted to purchase (I have been shopping around for a while now) and went to OnPoint to discuss their financing options. Erica was not available when I went in so Jeremy patiently helped answer all my questions regarding their financing options, rates, application process, etc. I was not ready to apply at that moment but did come back later in the evening and Erica helped me put an application for financing at that point. Erica again was incredibly helpful and friendly, she made the application process smooth. She let me know that I should expect to hear back in a day or two on my application. I ended up being in a tight time crunch with the vehicle I wanted to purchase so I ended up calling Erica the next day since I had not yet heard anything back regarding the application. I apologized for bugging her and explained the situation I was in with the specific vehicle I was wanting to purchase. She let me know she was not going to be in the office the next day but that she would have her coworker help me out so we could get things taken care if everything went through. Erica called me later that night to tell me they received my approval and let me know I could come back in the next day to sign the paperwork with Angela. I went in the next day and met with Angela, she was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and answered my 1,000 questions thoroughly and patiently. She made the paperwork quick and easy and made a usually stressful process, painless. I want to thank everyone at the Murray Hill location that has helped me since opening my account (and those who helped get my financing in order). You guys are truly AMAZING! I will forever be a fan and will always eagerly recommend your credit union. THANK YOU!!

      Response from the owner

Kelly, Congrats on your new vehicle! We greatly appreciate you sharing your story, it means a lot to our team. Please let us know if there's anything else that we can help you with. Welcome to the OnPoint family! Best, -OnPoint

Onpoint allowed someone to access my account and siphon $5000 out of it. When i filed an Unauthorized Digital Transaction Dispute, they sat on it for a week, before declining it without even calling me. They refuse to let me know what IP address someone logged into my account from, nor will they let me know where the money was. I'm having to get the local PD involved just to get Onpoint to discuss anything with me. All they said was "We're sorry this happened to you!" and shrugged. I HIGHLY suggest doing your banking somewhere else. I paid, and will continue to pay my mortgage with them, until i can refinance it somewhere else. They sacrificed a 30 year loan because they didn't want to handle fraud that happened on their own system. No options to recover. No sympathy. No offer to join any of their programs for people struggling. Not even that. Just a shrug and a "sorry!" I've posted this to local reddit and facebook communities as well.

      Response from the owner

Robert, Thank you for sharing your concern. We understand your frustration and we wanted you to know that you have the right to all the information used to determine the outcome of your dispute. Please let us know if you would like to connect on another phone call to discuss your concerns and all available options. We hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, -OnPoint

Of course the ATM went mysteriously out of order 2 people ahead of me. On a Monday night. When the other one was already out of order. Don't waste your time at this one! Not worth it!

      Response from the owner

Jessica, Thank you for providing your feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the ATM issue. Sincerely, -OnPoint

I feel like it became a norm for banks to make you wait in the line hours and hours before you can contact a customer service. It must be more profitable for them to hire 1 single person to handle all the customers.

      Response from the owner

Radu, thank you for reaching out. Recently we have taken steps to follow social distancing measures and protect the health of our employees and members—this includes reduced staff and alternating teams. Additionally, we are currently experiencing high call volumes and are providing a callback feature that is available at the beginning of the wait. Thanks for your patience as we work to continue providing excellent member experiences during this difficult time.
