I wouldn’t sell a brand new ps5 here they might try to buy it off you for $200. The lady Cindy thinks she knows everything. If you come here don't make negotiations with Cindy you might end up not even selling your merchandise. She is guaranteed to make your merchandise seem undervalue and talk bad about even tho it’s brand new

Saw some of the older reviews and wanted to write my own since I was just in there... Doug was amazing! Turned out he couldn’t help me but he was so kind, polite, professional and patient talking through things. Not a lot of inventory at the moment, but there was some really nicely priced jewelry so I will definitely be back if I have something else to sell or if I’m looking to make a jewelry purchase. Thanks Doug, great chatting with you today!!

Money Man Pawn on Folly Road on James Island is a well managed pawn shop that has many good values on different items available. It is always interesting to see all of the new items that come through here. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here including a cool surf board.

The current manager Joseph has really seemed to turn things around. It's a friendly place to be and the products in my experience have been inspected well before being placed for sale. The staff is very knowledgeable. They do training at that store so the amount of knowledge from associate to associate may very. But find Joseph and he will have the answers

I've been here quite a few times. They have good customer service. I would expect most of the poor reviews to lacking context, however I cannot speak for everyone. My only suggestions would be to allow the use of credit cards and it would be nice if they had an app to allow customers to pay for layaway items, interest on loans, or to browse their products. I would shop here again.

Unproffessional, rude, drama queen. Her name is Stephanie (James Island store). Her boss is ok with Stephanie being rude and embarrassing his customers. He did not mind at all that she made sure the whole store heard her telling me, with attitude, she wont do the loan because she seen a cockroach. Which she didnt see from my box of dvds, but we do live in South Carolina, so that roach could have came from anywhere, if it was there at all. He is also ok with her sending an email to the other stores filled with lies. She sent an email to the other stores telling them about the fake roach but also added that when I left the store, I went down the road cussing and screaming, when actually, I left the store and got in the truck and left. I called her boss and he was totally ok with it all, telling me to go pick my tablet up that I pawned on a Saturday because she doesnt work on Saturdays. Then this morning she did the same thing, (she said she seen a spider this time) except she lied to the manager of the store and got him to send the email and he was not even in the store. This store should be closed down because there is not one honest person working there!

These people at the money man are the most incompetent, lying, thriving people on the earth. Don't ever do business with these shady people.. I pawned a 30-06 rifle and they did everything in there power to steal it from me. Went to go pick it up and was told that the back ground system check was down. I said than call them , the smart@ss woman said they can't. Which was the first lie. Came back the next day system was up but they (the two stupid women behind the counter) said I missed a question on the paperwork which I didn't. Had to wait another day. So I go back to fill the paperwork out again they put a hold on me. I had to wait 4 days for the Brady law to take effect. Came back today the stupid dumb girl behind the counter said I would have to fill the paperwork out and wait another 4 days because they forgot to put jr. On my application. Which I did not forget on my end and filled it out correctly. It's like they're trying to hold my rifle hostage. Trying to get a $700 rifle for $200. Shady rip off people here and it's now my mission in life to shut these people down. I have never had a problem getting my rifle out of Pawn at Gene's Pawn Shop also the rifle is a one-owner gun I am the only person who's ever owned it. These people should be ashamed of their selves and I hope Karma comes back to bite them where the sun don't shine. Both incompetent women the blonde hair and black haired girl needs to be fired immediately. P.S. went and purchased another gun today as soon as I left your shop. Second Amendment look it up dummies. I hope and pray this pawn shop goes out of business.

Basically did everything short of call me a criminal when I went in to look into selling one of my guns. It was a smaller gun that I've had for years. I don't have the box or anything with it, which, in my opinion, isn't all that uncommon. However, the guy basically did everything short of accusing me of stealing it. He looked up the going value of the gun on GunBroker, and after some whispering with his colleague, then offered me about 20% of that. He put a lock on the gun and gave me the key and said that'd probably help with the police, but I could take the lock off once I left the store Seriously? I've been to this location before to sell a piece and walked out without any gun lock when we couldn't reach an agreement, so this isn't standard practice. I have a CWP and am affiliated with law enforcement/local government, so I'm definitely not pleased to be treated like a crook. I like to buy/sell/trade guns, and have sold at this store before, and they generally offer reasonable prices and credits for trades, but I doubt I'll be back after this. The clear impression I got was that if you don't have the receipt with your gun, they're going to accuse you of stealing it and offer you pennies on the dollar and act like they're doing you a favor. What can you expect though I guess? It's a crappy pawn shop, not a real gun store.

This was my worst experience ever with a pawn shop I went up there with my computer to pawn till Friday because we needed groceries and in between check and theadh who was extremely rude said if I put anti virus on it they would give me a 100 for it so I went home and put an anti virus and went back so we had started the process a second time and the lady then proceeds to tell me there is to much in the memory and if I deleted some of it she would take it so I went home deleted everything before I even walk in the door the lady was like we can't take that thing if that was the case you couldn't have told me right from the begging literally wasted my whole day. I will from now on never go to a money man again

This is the best pawn shop in town. Justin and his team are knowledgable of their products and the prices are fair. They consistently keep quality products in their store.
