Hall Transportation5Closing our home loan was so easy, efficient and FUN! Both Steve and Dan at Greenbrier Title were fantastic. They came to our home, listened to our dogs bark and even laughed at our dumb jokes! Thanks! Will use again in the future for all of our real estate needs!
Response from the ownerThanks for the great review! We loved meeting you and look forward to working with you again in the future!

Michael Lewis1They basically run a family business with mom who is a realtor for her son who works here. After checking many other places these people run an arm and a leg compared to anyone else so would never use again.. They also as we are signing raised the price for our realtor by .5% (his mom) which is unprofessional and she gets a chunk of change for nothing AND 2 months after signing they try to come back and say we owe a termite inspection because they were too dumb and focused on mommy getting money they didnt add it into our payment table and try to come back on us later. Ridiculous and will never use again
Response from the ownerMichael, We are truly sorry to hear that you are left unsatisfied with your experience. We at Greenbrier Title always strive to be detail oriented and accurate in all of our transactions and regret that the $95 invoice was not accounted for at the time of closing. We sincerely apologize for that mistake and reached out to you to resolve this issue the same day it was brought to our attention. We assure you that the rest of the transaction, including the real estate commission, was disbursed correctly and accurately. Under no circumstances do we ever alter any commissions or terms of the listing agreement that you have with your agent. Our integrity is paramount to us. If you feel that you were overcharged on the commission, we advise you to contact your real estate agent as we followed the terms of the contract to the letter. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact us.

Austin Petersen5I was recommended to Greenbrier by a friend of mine. When I refinanced my house, I signed my papers in their office. They couldn't have been more friendly, and patiently answered all of my myriad questions. Hopefully I never need to refinance again, but if I do, I will absolutely use Greenbrier! Steve, Becca, and Dan were all a delight to work with!

Lori Gilson2We did a refinance and our lender chose Greenbrier as our title company. After watching our accounts for a number of days and wondering why the previous loans were not paid off, I called the office and learned that we were short by $300 at closing, which they knew about days ago, but never addressed or contacted me, and just didn't pay off the accounts. If I hadn't called and pushed this forward, we would have continued to accrue interest on loans that should have been paid off, auto withdrawals would have hit out account (the very next day), and then we would have had to wait for weeks for an overpayment check. When I expressed my concerns and frustration to the escrow agent, I was told they were human and people make mistakes. Eventually, he did apologize and drove out to our house to pick up the check; but compared to title companies that show up with gift baskets and allow you to close at home and at your convenience, and most importantly make sure everything is funded and paid off, Greenbrier fell short. If they had taken immediate accountability, apologized and offered to cover the accrued interest, instead of me asking them to cover them after I was frustrated and felt invalidated, I would not have left this review. It isn't just the oversight, but the frustrating conversation that has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Response from the ownerHi Lori, we’re so sorry to hear that you didn’t have a good experience working with us on your recent transaction. It sounds like there was some miscommunication and we’d like to do whatever we can to clear that up and to make things right with you. The experience that our clients have is very important to us. On this transaction, the lender calculated the payoff for the old mortgage incorrectly. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch that they had made a mistake. That part’s on us, we should have double-checked what they sent us. We sent the payoff check overnight the day of funding. It is normal procedure for a lender to immediately contact us if they receive a payoff that is short—your old lender did not contact us, therefore we didn’t know that there was an issue until we spoke with you. Had we known that there was an issue sooner we would have dealt with right away. When we did learn of the error, we called to apologize and we made every effort to promptly resolve the issue. As you mentioned, we did offer to come to your house immediately and then we personally drove the check to the old lender (which was an additional 2 hours of driving) because we wanted to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We wish we had known that you wanted to close in your home—we would have done so gladly. Nearly half of our closings are out of office—we provide that service regularly to many of our clients and we drive all over the Wasatch Front and beyond to do those closings ourselves personally. Again, we are very sorry that your experience wasn’t what either of us had hoped it would be. We would love the opportunity to regain your trust in the future. As I mentioned above, we take the customer experience very seriously and we have implemented enhanced processes as a result to prevent issues like this from happening in the future. If you have any other questions or concerns, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to make sure you are taken care of.

Keith Wilson3Our title insurance policy and warranty deed just arrived today, 24 months after the transaction. Based on the envelope, this was their fourth attempt to mail this to us. We have lived at this address for 19 months. Apparently they listed our address as the empty lot address when the deed was recorded, and when mail was sent there, there was no house or mail box to deliver it to. This likely explains why we were late paying our taxes last year. The tax bill went to the listed lot address. The house was then under construction (no mail box yet), and the bill never reached us. I discovered we were listed as delinquent on the county web site, and paid the bill late with a late fee. Ouch! Be sure Greenbrier gets your address correct if you don't live at the purchased property yet, and check on the tax billing cycle for your county so you can follow up if you don't get a property tax bill. I should have looked at the closing paperwork closer - I may have caught the error sooner.

Greg Lemmon5David is an excellent Escrow Officer. He stands above the rest with precise communication, meticulous organization, and comprehensive knowledge of Utah's real estate transaction process. He is also the only Escrow Officer I have known to present problems as well as solutions the very moment they happen rather then use a "wait and see mentality" Without him our team and our clients would certainly have a much more difficult time acquiring their homes.

Travis Baker5Steve and his team was so easy to work with. They were very communicative but also calm through it all. He even came to our house to sign everything. Very easy.
