      Just sold our house and buyer selected them to close...last week I felt like giving 1 Star, because the lawyer they work with could not get our old loan pay-off and everything was chaotic, then last minute they got it, but then First Choice had no check for us at closing July 3, so had to wait 5 days for that. They dropped the $125 expedite fee to get us to closing, thus 2 stars!

      Closed in March, Have yet to receive title insurance policy , and the attorney used left out the “Here with clause” , making my new deed a total red flag showing i have no access to my property.

      We purchased 2 building lots . The closing with First Choice Title at Smith Mountian Lake was the worst business transaction i have made in years . Closing dates rescheduled without notice .Excuses built on excuses for the 2 week delay . Funds were demanded , cashed &held prior to delivering a title &deed. I have never seen such an unprofessional closing agent. Multiple calls were required to talk to her, and on several occasions she screened at us . The drama this title co presented to us as customers was very unprofessional and not acceptable.

      First Choice Title unfortunately had no control over the delay caused by seller signatures and Franklin County planning and zoning, which resulted in your closing not being completed until the day after the Thanksgiving holiday. First Choice recorded and disbursed as soon as the necessary third party signatures were obtained, including the survey signed by Franklin County planning and zoning. While we understand your frustration with they delay in the local government officials signing your new plats before the Thanksgiving holiday, that was outside the control of First Choice.       We sold land at SML and the buyer chose this company. They proved to be unprofessional and imcompetent. The settlement was in August and I still have not received my check, my sister does not have her check as well. They will not return my calls, nor my sisters or our Real Estate Agent. I will have to pursue this via another route. I do not recommend this company.

      First Choice sent your seller proceeds check to you by certified mail to your West Virginia address as you requested immediately after closing but it appears you did not claim if from the post office and were not aware that the post office had attempted delivery. Once you contacted us we contacted the post office to find out its status and informed you and you went to pick up your check. .
