For people working at the bank, you think they’d be friendly and willing to help you out. Especially a clueless young adult. These were some of the rudest people I’ve encountered. It doesn’t cost a dime to smile and be respectful.

Manager Norma is absolutely the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Moved from Odessa to here and kept the account because they had a local branch. I had to discuss an issue with my direct deposit and have never been treated the way I was with the manager. I will never go to this branch again, I will drive the 30 miles to Odessa.

Scott Garner seems to have hit it right on the head. Never in my life have I seen a bank / credit union act this way. The account clerk and manager have a cold attitude and I don't believe I have ever seen them smile. Both will cut you off mid-sentence and rarely look you in the face. On the occasions I have been there, they are more glued to their computers than listening to your issue and wanting to help. I carry myself with a smile, greet everyone by name, never curse, and am always doing my best to treat others with kindness and tact. This branch doesn't seem to be able to return that favor. Several months after starting my account there, I went to speak to the manager. I mentioned that at my previous institution (which I since went back to!) I had a relatively quite healthy balance (Not a life-changing amount by any means, but close to half the FDIC insured limit in cash, which any bank would LOVE to add to their total held deposits!) I told the manager that I was willing to move all my funds to this institution if she would only inquire about how her union handles deposits from Coinbase and other online cryptocurrency exchanges - several weeks pass, I get no reply. She had no clue what cryptocurrency was. For a bank manager, that is unheard of. Several weeks later, I sent some funds to the account via Coinbase. My deposit was approved. I sent another a few days later, and it was rejected. (This is in U.S. Dollars, mind you, from a U.S. based company, via ACH deposit!) I tried the deposit again, and this time I got a call from the head office, with ZERO verification or authentication for my identity, she proceeded to ask what the deposit was from. After telling her, I noticed that they accepted the deposit immediately. The next day, I went to the branch to ask the manager what the official stance is. I was met with an unfriendly demeanor like all times before, and was held back from seeing the manager. An agent instead acted as a buffer between me and the manager, like I was there to visit with a head of state or something. Instead of apologizing for not getting back to me regarding my question, she told me that they would accept that one deposit, but no more, and was eager to assist in closing my account when I told her I may have to move back to my old union. Wow. Here's where it gets interesting - After speaking to a very polite and helpful person at the main branch by the name of Ysenia (please forgive me if I butchered your name!... and COMCFCU, give this lady a raise!), I was told that no such thing is true. She spoke to bookkeeping and was told that they were only curious about what the deposits were since their system flagged it "as-yet-unknown". They said they would certainly allow the ACH deposits. Look, really, who knows what the credit union's official line REALLY is? I know that some banks don't like anything to do with crypto, but that's usually for purchase. I have NEVER seen a bank or union reject a deposit. It is in their best interest to accept it. The point is that in this day and age, a credit union should know where they stand 100%, and should be educating their tellers and agents about new, 100% legal forms of currency. This is no different from gains in the stock market, as the crypto is converted to USD online and sent via ACH. Shame on you, CCFCU! Since then, I have taken roughly all my money out of this union and have fully gone back to my old institution which I was a part of for 12 years. They treat me well at my old place, they are polite and helpful, and will gladly accept my deposits. In fact, when they caught wind that I might be leaving, they called me twice to ask if there was anything they could do to keep me. Despite the closest branch being over 300 miles away, I'm glad to allow them to do so. I will be following up with their head office and will allow COMCFCU to attempt to remedy the situation, apologize, and make their stance fully known. After 5 hours of legwork, I still don't know the truth. We'll see what happens, and I'll adjust my review accordingly.

I love the monahans branch! They’re quick to answer phone calls, they help right away and work with you to get paper work done. Over all they’re a good branch!

Rude and very intrusively nosy wanting the check stub from an insurance refund when thats none of their business. All they need is the check itself to deposit into my account.

Poor customer service. Have had nothing but problems with the employees and all accounts that I opened there. Lack of communication and poor customer relations!
