Update 1/23/2020: Hi Luraine, Unfortunately, we have not heard back from you to better understand your frustrations, and we aren’t able to identify you in our system. We value your input and until we are able to speak, I’d like to clarify some details mentioned in your review: 1. CIVIC origination fees are always discussed, disclosed, and documented on our closing docs – so there are never any surprises. 2. CIVIC’s 1 year bridge program has NO prepayment penalty, which means a borrower has the ability to pay the loan off in full at any time during the loan term without penalty. For our 2 year bridge program, the prepayment penalty is reduced to 8 months, which means a borrower has the ability to pay the loan off in full after 8 months or more into the loan term without penalty. If you had a 2 year loan and paid it off under the 8 month threshold, that is the only instance in which prepayment fees would have been incurred. These important details, again, are all disclosed during the loan process, as well as on the note signed at closing.
