Closed on my house on Feb18th, chose Champion as our settlement company & glad I did. The weather was very bad and it was snowing that day, Caeli made sure that the closing happens & because of the bad weather she met us at a Panera bread really close to the property so we didn’t have to drive to their office which is in Fairfax. There was an overpayment of about $2500 I did, and I got a check back in the mail 2-3 days later. Overall my experience with this company was a pleasant one, & I recommend using Champion for you’re settlements ! Thank you Caeli !

I can not recommend Champion Title & Settlements, Inc. Where do I start! Jennifer Julia, who was supposed to be the person responsible for my post closing transactions and disbursement of funds due to me at closing was horrible! She put the wrong account number on the disbursement check and sent it to my bank and of course they had no idea what to do with it. Jennifer's response was to wait another week so see what happens! Once I notified her of her mistake she completely stop responding to me and ignored  me for days! After several ignored emails, phone calls and two weeks past my closing I had to escalate issues to Ryan Koppel who somehow finally got her to do her Job! Terrible customer service and would never use them again!

So although I would give a 5 in regards to scheduling flexibility and being accommodating, the communication in general was VERY poor. Initial correspondence to schedule a day and time for signing closing documents was sent only by e-mail. Then a time was picked for me without my consent. No phone call was ever made to confirm availability with me, the client, until the day before the original schedule date which, again, was set for me and not by me. Unfortunately for everyone, I was not even in the state. So it was rescheduled. That person failed to confirm the rescheduled day and time via e-mail or by follow-up phone call before the rescheduled appointment. Needless to say, the second date was missed. Only when I inquired as to get a reminder on when it was rescheduled for was I notified that it had been that day. None of the associates bothered to tell anybody else that the appointment had been missed. So finally, a traveling notary was sent out to handle the paperwork signing at my place of employment. Everyone was professional and courteous but the lack of responsiveness and diligence ruined me ever recommending Champion Title.

I cannot thank Champion Title enough. They have been supportive, with responsive, excellent legal advice. In every situation they are there for me and my clients. If you have a perfectly smooth transaction, any title company will do, when you deal with reality you need Champion Title on your side.

👎🏽 I am a real estate broker in Fairfax. Split settlement closing on $1,160,000.00 sales price property listed by me in McLean, Purchasers chose Champion Title and Settlement as their settlement agent for settlement that occurred on January 7, 2020. I picked up my commission check from them several days later and statement in envelope was for another property. Today 101 days post settlement after multiple requests by phone, email and texts through Purchaser's Realtor, Will Rodgers, eXp Realty, and Seller's settlement agent, Stewart Title, disposition of Seller's escrowed funds held by Champion for post settlement work agreed upon has at this late date still not been received by my clients. In phone conversation Friday morning, April 17, two weeks since previous call, with Purchaser's Realtor, Will Rodgers, yelled at me that he did not have any more time to deal with this. I told him In that case I would turn to Virginia State Attorney General and Virginia State Corporation Commission for assistance. I phoned my clients in Houston reporting and discussing my brief phone conversation with Will Rogers. During client conversation my email Inbox began blowing up with messages from Jennifer Julia at Champion (3 messages), Christina Mesones at Champion (1 message) and Will Rodgers (2 messages). Essence of those messages is summed up by one from Jennifer Julia that begins, "It appears there was a glitch in our system and the check for $1000.00 was sent in error to..." Funds due my client were sent to a contractor in Woodstock, Virginia by someone at Champion on March 17, 2020 and the contractor cashed the check on March 30. Glitch in system? Someone's fingers tapped on a keyboard and their eyes on a screen issuing a check. Someone's hand signed the check. Someone prepared an envelope, placed check in the envelope and put it in a mailbox. The post settlement performance period was 30 days. So it took them from February 6 to March 17, 40 days to get around to disposition and sent it to someone else. In classic 'blame the victim' style Will Rodgers today, 101 days post settlement, acts as though Sellers and I are annoying pests he cannot tolerate anymore while Champion Title & Settlements euphemistically deflects responsibility for failure as system glitch.

Went in to close on a house. I was led to a room, told to sign the title documents, and they left the room. No virtual meeting, no one on the phone. Just me and a stack of documents, and no one to help answer questions. Leading up to closing, it was hard to get answers back from people. Multiple times I was told they would back to me with quotes or explanations, without ever receiving a response

I'm always thankful when my clients are happy. Champion Title (Jessica Youngs) has always provided the most professional service. Her company offers years of experience and it shows. They know how to treat people. I highly recommend Jessica and Champion Title.
