Very poor customer service. Women at desk was not pleasant and makes going to capital one bank a dreadful experience. I have been banking with capital one for 5 years. I have went to the pineville branch where they welcome their consumer clients with amazing customer service, are very respectful, and allow customer to ask questions freely. It is only at this branch that I experience the opposite.

      Response from the owner

Definitely never what we aim for, Tamer. We'll make sure your feedback is seen by the right eyes.^AS

THIS IS MY FAREWELL REVIEW TO CAPITAL ONE! This is not my first negative review of Capital one bank but I do hope it reaches the desk of someone in this conglomerate, who will read it in the light in which it was meant and by some far stretch of the imagination, actually do something about it!! Capital one, in an attempt to increase their bottom line and hold down expenses, has made the terrible and inadvisable decision, to close most of their brick and mortar banks, in favor of online services and despite the fact, that we live in a spread out, rural community, where many people drive miles just to go to a super market, they have made the bone headed decision, to have only one, full service bank, in our sprawling community! I guess some ladder climbing, yuppie liberal, in the marketing department, decided that Cenla and I guess many other areas, are just not important enough, rate enough, to have more than one full service bank! Not everything can be done through an ATM or online! Somethings, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, do require an ACTUAL, real life person to handle the transaction! As I live and breathe, can this be really true? 😀You think? Today, I had the much dreaded job, of driving into Alexandria, from the outskirts of Pineville, at more than 4.00 a gallon, to deposit, two roles of quarters and nickels and some paper money AND, to exchange some Euros for U.S. money. Can't do that from ATM or online and I really wouldn't want to! Well, the line was out the door practically and I stood there an inordinate amount of time, which, if they had a branch in Pineville, that wouldn't have happened! In the middle of my deposit transaction, THEIR COMPUTERS FROZE! Then finally, after the encounter, with a somewhat cocky teller, I guess she was overwhelmed with the unnecessary flood of banking customers and with me asking the same question, "Is there an issue, what's going on", a few times, the deposit finally went through and I was directed to the banker, she was called, to redeem my Euros! I had a paper Euro and some silver metal ones, which, I didn't think, they would take but I was told they would! She was very polite and when I had to return to the bank in a few minutes, because she called me, while I was in Kroger's, shopping, she was still, extremely polite and apologetic for the inconvenience! After doing my shopping, I returned to the bank. I said that was alright and I picked up my perishable groceries, I had to carry inside with me, because it was too hot to leave them outside, in the car and left. My wait this time, was not long, as she had already done the corrective transaction, ahead of time! Well, in all honesty folks, it wasn't their fault! They are bombarded all day, with very angry people, such as myself, from Pineville and surrounding areas, because they had to drive, ten and twenty miles to talk to a real live person! You can't blame them for errors and abrupt talk! Now, had I been halfway down the road, when she called, this review would have been a lot nastier! Luckily, I was next door! Capital one, YOU HAVE REALLY MADE A HUGE MARKETING ERROR and for this reason, I have discontinued my 25 year relationship with Capital one! I have chosen another financial institution, that has multiple branches, over the top customer service and dynamite security measures!

On June 22, 2021 my husband passed away , soon after we had a house fire which has left of homeless. We both had our names on the account and yet for some reason the bank froze all of out money. At first it seemed routine but now 2 months later after being to told to go to the bank to clear it up that was lie. Then we were told to speak with the fraud department , which we did. We were even told to go to the back and speak with the fraud dept.where I explained there was no fraud. The government even took back the money they gave him for his retirement. None of my bills are being paid by automatic withdrawals and I don't imagine the bank is going to pay the late fees.so we've spoken to many employees in numerous departments on how to resolve this issue and keep being told investigators will call us , but never do. That adding my son to the account. Which is helping me with my financial affairs. I know there are rules but I don't think there are rules about lying to a grieving widow that cant even bury her husband. PLEASE!!!! If anyone has any suggestions on what I should do Help Me I Beg You!

Don’t go to this location. When their ATM eats your card it is “not their problem, they do not service the ATM” though every day I watch them do it when I drop my jobs deposit off. So says the bigger blond woman with glasses at the teller window. OH. That same woman has you write down your SS number and not return it. Says she needs it for verification. None of the others do this.

Badly managed bank. Service is very slow and has not improved in over a year. I think they would find that were they to provide better service they would have more customers. As it is this bank appears to be on a downward spiral and they don't seem to care.

If your a small business owner and use Capital One credit card for your business needs, please be aware of the Ridiculous interest charges. They entice you with reward points but I promise you they get them rewards back plus a lot more in interest.

I know banks close at 5pm. Today I was in a huge hurry and needed desperately to deposit 2 checks. I arrived right at 5. as I was grabbing the door a short fat white chick was locking it. She looked at me and laughed. Well looks like I'm going to chase. 20 years ive been with cap 1. I'm sure I'll be ok. And so will cap one. But that short fat white chick will always be fat. And ugly. Bye bye

Very kind except one older lady judged me for putting a 6 dollar check in my bank account. She said I could have used the ATM.
