I opened up checking, savings and credit builder card account in this bank a year ago. Their employees move too slow and I took forever waiting on them. They are impatient, rude and it seems like they don't know what they're doing. The checking account have monthly service fee and the credit builder have an annual fee. I decided to close all of my accounts with them and the refunds of my $300 from my credit builder credit card was taking forever too. It sucks! I've waited for a month or more to receive it. I won't recommend this bank all the military personnel. The bank apps is not organized and the Bill Pay is not organized either, not totally high-speed. I will recommend Navy Federal over this bank. Navy Federal had rebate if you withdraw from different bank if you have active duty checking account from Navy Federal.

I would give zero stars if i could. Husband went to the branch on post to close his account. Turns out, the teller didn’t actually close the account so when a payment came out a week later, it caused an overdraft fee. We would have never caught it if he hadn’t gotten an email. The teller couldn’t even do her job correctly and I had to spend over an hour trying to fix it.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They answered all my questions, set up my account abd features I wanted, and I know they will help me whenever I need it. 10/10 would recommend.

My husband tried opening a joint account online for us both and the account ended up opening for myself because he got mixed up with one of the security questions. One of my security questioned asked "What was my telephone number ten years ago?" I failed it because I couldn't remember, two numbers sounded like a phone number I had so I guessed the number. I had to fax a copy of my ID, and sign it 3 times. I faxed my driving license and military ID. I went into the branch to open a savings account the branch supervisor (Foreign lady) told me NO! And to have a seat while she find out? Um excuse me? I have an checking account! I can open a saving account! After waiting 30 minutes in silence I left. I told this lady I will call myself and she blurted out as I was leaving "She will call" I left called the 800 number (I work and I have other things to do then to sit in a bank to wait and find out if I can open a savings account with MY checking account) and they contacted the branch and told her I can open an account! DUH! My husband is currently deployed and he's pissed, this account has been open for 2 weeks and it already seems like the branch doesn't know as much as the 800 number. I came back to the branch after they wasted 30 minutes of my time and requested to have another banker help me and they told me "No that the lady that had my stuff can" Wow! Classy customer service right? I will be closing this account, the only reason it's open is because my husband wanted an bank account that was convenient and we are saving for our a baby. This bank FT.RILEY location has been nothing but a nightmare! The tellers seem like they hate their job, so I'm sure you know what kind of attitude you feel when you walk in! I should've told my husband to read the reviews here first before opening this account. Thankfully Navy Federal has given us a joint account so we still managed to open a joint account for a baby and it's still convenient.

This place used to have a great staff. Now they are slow. I went to make a deposit today and with 1 car in front of me I literally waited 45 minutes prior to getting to the window. 1 hour and 15 minutes is too long for a bank run.

      Response from the owner

Hello Terry, we are sorry to hear that you did not receive the kind of service we strive to give our customers at Armed Forces Bank. We appreciate your feedback and your business is important to us. Please try us again.

I have had a account with them for over a year and my account had gone negative and I never got any notifications or calls to let me know about it and they charged off my account. This bank steals money constantly and is a complete waste of time the bank wouldn’t let me pay off the charged off account and wouldn’t tell which creditor took it over

Poor customer service and they move so slow. And I think they are not knowledgeable about what they saying to the customer, even at the customer service hotline. Don't go to this bank. Better find a better bank not this bank.

Awful customer service. Not specifically this location, but the whole branch.
