Carrie Merritt1How can I not make a car payment with a loan through their bank with my account through their bank?! The website was a pain in my rear to get another account to make the payment. How about that fee for paying through their own bank to make a payment over the phone. What a joke. I’m opening an account at another bank tomorrow.
Response from the ownerWe sincerely apologize for your experience, Carrie. Please reach out to us at 800.456.3000, so that you can voice your concerns to a supervisor. We hope that we can provide you with exceptional service, moving forward.

Trista Ransom2Actually going to the bank is fine it’s like any other bank. But actually trying to get ahold of someone at the bank is awful. Always on hold for hours. It’s ridiculous.

If you are unable to hold, you can leave a voicemail so that a representative can reach out to you as soon as possible. Robert Branscum2Ok, I was working out of town and my wife used their site to pay my tuck payment. It took a lot of extra time so next time she decided to just pay it through our bank. She set it up several days in advance but noticed it was not going to make it time so she contacted our bank and did a stop payment. Then she got back on their site and paid it on line before the due date. Well as luck would have it they still got the check and processed it. It came back as it should since a stop payment was set up. They still charged us a $35.00 fee. I called let them let know the details and pointed out it was paid before due date. Her reply was we processed it so you get charged. She would not even discuss it further. I said ok, for $35.00 you fired a customer. About to buy a new 2500 truck for work. They won’t get by business anymore. Enjoy that $35.00

brandon mcgilton1I have had over 50 vehicles in my lifetime, yes I know that is too many. I have never been told that the bank requires a bill of sale from the seller before I can actually get the loan. How am I supposed to purchase the vehicle without the loan? Horrible communication between loan officers and members. Me and my wife were told 3 different things regarding the loan. Don't ever do any transfers or apply for anything over the weekend as well, it will take longer to process than actually doing it on a weekday.
Response from the ownerHi Brandon, We hate to hear about your experience. We'll have someone reach out to you about this.

Bobby Armer1Spent over 45 mins on hold trying to get assistance only for this branch to transfer me to another location instead of answering their phone and helping me themselves. This is by far the worst branch in the district do not go to this location for help with your account and don't even bother trying to call this store they will not answer! Absolutely incompetent customer service, downright abysmal...

Giancarlo Wolfe1Have had my personal data stolen with this bank three times. Stationed overseas and it took them three whole weeks to get a new bank card after they sent two cards to the wrong address even though I emailed my exact address to them while attempting to charge me a fee for issuing a card. They sent me a check during this (1 week into them not sending my card to the right address, the refuse to use wire transfers) no one recognizes and refused to remit my money to my account. Will not refinance loans. Do not use this credit union. They simply do not care about their members or the hardships they enact with their sloppy work ethic.

COURTNEY BERNER5Arkansas Federal Credit Union always provides me with a great experience. Every employee there is very kind, helpful, and always has a great attitude. As things are being taken care of, the workers will talk to me and make me feel welcome.
Response from the ownerThanks for the review, Courtney! We are glad to have you as an Arkansas Federal member.

Goose Jackson3They've always been extremely friendly and helpful (although usually busy and very slow) when I visit the branch in person, but they're completely unavailable by phone as all calls go through AFCU's phone bank in Jacksonville, which is rather inconvenient. Even the Jacksonville people seem to have a hard time getting ahold of them; this branch is like a black hole as far as information goes, which, along with the generally long waits involved with any kind of transaction, is why I docked them a couple of stars. I just have a basic account with them -- no loans or anything so I can't speak to their customer service or performance in that regard.

Scott Kennedy1I have 2 new car loans with AFCU. I scheduled a payment for one of them on 2/17. They didn't process it until 2/21. They took my payment but also sent me a late notice on the same day and charged me a late fee. I tried to get them to remove the late fee. But got no help from the clerks. Their website is very user UNFRIENDLY. It requires two different log in's. One to make payments and the other to view your statement. Which their tellers didn't even know. If fact, they argued with me about until I showed them. I didn't appreciate their attitude. My daughter just paid off a car with them that I consigned for. When I went on line to look at the payoff the account had been totally removed just days later. How stupid is that? I am considering refinancing both of my loans and never doing business with AFCU again.
