Paid off my leased car more two months ago and still title in their name! Every time we call, they give us same answer “they’re working on it” I sold the car, and the buyer still waiting! It was supposed to be 2-4 weeks for them to release the title.

Absolutely terrible company. Their system is designed to prevent you from getting to an actual human being, and once you do the employees aren't empowered to actually help you. I cannot explain how frustrating it is to call and wait for an hour -- or worse have your call dropped -- and then have no hope of getting your issue resolved. They won't reissue an overpayment check to me, so you know, straight up theft. Criminal.

I recently paid off my wife's car which is a 2019 Honda Civic LX. I've paid it off July 10, 2021 to be exact through the online website of Honda financial services. Until this day, we are still receiving calls that we still owe money to pay our car. It doesn't make sense. I have my banking statements as PROOF that I paid my wife's car off and until now, they are saying we need to pay the next monthly payment. This is stupid.

My 2017 Honda civic had an ongoing beeping when turning on/off the car. Took it to the service department and they fixed it but did not document the visit. I was unaware they did not document issues if it does not make it to the "back" of the service department. Right when the warranty expired it started making the beeping noise and the air conditioning/heater was making a loud noise after the filters were changed. I called to report the noise and again calls were not recorded. I contacted America Honda to get the car diagnosed as the warranty had expired and this was an ongoing issue since the beginning. The "regional representative EDWIN" was rude, and biased. I felt harassed. From the beginning he told me that it was my responsibility to take the car in for diagnostic test even if we were in a pandemic. Seriously!! After several calls I asked to speak to his supervisor. Supervisor Kanisha called me back after 1 week. She read the notes and they were completely false documentation with statements I did not say. I told Kanisha since the calls were recorded, to review them. I decided to pay the fee and to my surprise it is a factory defect of the "condenser" and is under warranty. For the beeping, they showed me how to reset the alarm. America Honda is by far the worst in customer service and they don't help you. Honda warranty doesn't come close to Toyota's warranty. I regret purchasing 2 Honda's 2017 and 2018. Now I have to be praying they don't break down as the warranty sucks and the customer service is rude and harassed me with questions of exact date, times and representatives names. How am I supposed to remember all of that?? EDWIN did not care about the health and safety of others during stay at home orders in California stating it was my responsibility to take the car and resport the issue. Well, I did call and was told the noise was normal. I do not recommend a Honda to anyone, unless you want to be dealing with broken/defective parts, electric issues and rude customer service from America Honda. It sounds like Edwin is hates his job and has no customer service skills. They should provide better training and actually hire people who like their job.

"All circuits are busy". How is that the message I get EVERYTIME I call?? The actual customer service is A1, when I can actually get through! It's the phone lines that need a revamp and it's the phone lines that have earned Honda Financial Services one star. Complete and utter trash.

phone customer service is the worst I have (not) dealt with. Thing is I have been calling 4 days in a row, waiting for over 2 hours on hold and no one picks up. I paid my car 3 months ago and I have no clue where my title is..... this is just annoying

I find the website easy to use. The loan rate is good and the automatic payments are convenient. I've even made extra payments from time to time. I have financed several cars through American Honda Finance, and I've never had a problem with payments, payoff, or getting my title sent back.

You get at voice mail at 2pm saying you’ve reached them after business hours. Honda is hands down the worst at administering business. I reluctantly leased a second Honda but never again. Now that I’m at the end of the lease I can’t return it without calling Honda financial. Last time I returned a car, they screwed up the paperwork and charged me for 3 months for a car I Had already returned!

I got in a total loss accident and had my settlement sent to Honda. There was a past balance that wasn't due until March 27th which would make it 30 days. Right on the 27th at 5pm they reported me with no notification dropped my credit 87 points. Not one person called or e mailed me to tell me there was an amount left before reporting my credit. I paid off the remaining amount the same day I got notified by Experian, but when I called they refused to work with me. Terrible company and they don't care about their customers. They just act like robots who follow a script. No humanity. Never work with them as a lender. You will regret it like I do.

Was on hold for over 30 minutes, then Merris said she couldn't help me over and over and over. To the point where she thought apologizing was acceptable resolution to not helping or resolving anything. All I needed was a copy of our initial lease paperwork to send to the new lender but they couldn't help due to her not being in customer service and I was just routed there due to the "high volume of calls". So after having you wait for 30/minutes, they route your call to someone who isn't able to help you and is "assisting the other department"? Inexplicably frustrating of a setup. So after waiting for another 10/minutes with her, (at 40+ minutes now). She said she was going to wait with me? Wow, that's not helpful. Patronize me by waiting with me as if that's going to make waiting any better? Finally after 45/minutes, got connected with Josh who said b/c our lease was originated in CA and we got transferred to Charlotte, NC customer service team - they don't have our files scanned into the system b/c the lease is 3/years old (2014) and they've only been scanning for the last 2/years. So, we'll have to call back and speak with the West Coast cust. support team... or go into the dealership and hope they have copies of the original lease paperwork. What a disaster this company is! I asked if the West coast team could email the documents for efficiency purposes as opposed to having to drive all the way to the dealership in "hopes" they can quickly find them and get us copies. He said they can't email, only have the ability to fax... dying technology is their only solution? Very sad. I can't be more disappointed. Last time we buy a Honda.
