Barrington Ambers1I purchased a new car off the show room floor back in January 2017. All was good until several days after. (Now, I had just placed a sizable down payment on the auto and drove off the lot with it mind.) several days after I had the car enjoying it Immensely, I received a call from this finance department about I have to make the first payment in 7 days! I was floored! The finance manager told me that my first payment on the loan was in 45 days after the purchase due to it takes that long to process all the paperwork. After telling the person on the phone the exact same thing and they repeatedly said my payment would be due. I called the dealership and complained. After 45 days these people called again and this time used forceful language in regards to the payment. This occurred until I ended up 2 payments behind and and one of those payments was made with the other immediately following. The auto go repoed and when I went to retrieve my belongings some items were stolen after I went through the boxes they placed my belongings in. They sold the car for the exact amount owed due to the car was kept in showroom floor conditions. They then placed on my credit report $62 stating it was late fees owed. The late fees were included with the payments that were behind. Needless to say I’ll never purchase another Honda using their in house finance company. Owe be aware of those rebates when purchasing the car because those rebates are added back into the loan and you don’t get them! Then in order to receive the rebate if there is an actual one you must finance the car through Honda Financial.

Robert Lee1Bought 3 Honda Clarity, 2017 Silver, 2018 Black and 2021 White. Because the Honda financial was not well set up, it created a misunderstandings caused the danage to me to have bad credit reports from them. First, 3 years ago around November of 2018, I called in to set up auto payment, the operator told me she will go ahead help and did it for me, I gave her my bank account and all informations needed and thought it will take care. 4 months passed checking in, they told me that I did not make 4 months payments even though they hah all my informations in their system. I ended up, I had BAD credit reports from them. THIS IS VERY SAD. I finally made the 4 months catchup payments then over thousand. They do not care to fix it or reconsider my explanation. 2nd time this year 2022, It happened on my last 2021. I call in made payment for March 2022 and the operator, told me is Ok but following month I was behind and have another bad credit. I called in to explained and made catch up payment the following month. To learn, because of the uncare of the American Honda toward their Loyal customer. We learn to make sure to have the CONFIRMATION registered from them each time our payment was accepted. To American Honda: The department should have the system to prevent these the bugs that they have. Hope American Honda will carry on their good reputation toward their loyal customer and consumer to come. Any to any comment: Wisdommoney at gmail.com

Carlos A.1I sold a car to Carmax and they charged me a 350 turn it in fee even tho it wasn't returned to them, they also haven't took it off my credit and it shows that I still have an open balance with the of 5k which I don't and shouldn't have their. Good luck talking to the finance team. It sounds like they listen if you're there then put u on hold again

Isabella Marcucci1Turned in my car recently and got a new one. My old car was set on auto pay so I never missed a payment. That was my first car and I figured it was one payment account for each customer. When I got my new car, they did not tell me I needed to set up a new account for a new car. Instead I just changed my autopay to match the new payment. Because they did not tell me I needed to set up a new account for my new car, I was late for a payment for the first time in 3 years. I was so confused because my bank account and my Honda account said I had made a payment on time so I called them. The person who “helped” (for lack of a better term) me told me that they couldn’t help me because they didn’t have any information on my account even though I had just given them my account information for the new car. Ended up fixing it by myself. I love my Honda car but I wish their financial team was better at communicating. The whole thing could have been avoided with an email reminder to set up a new account for my new car. That or the person who processed my down payment could have informed me of this fact. So disappointed. As I said I love my Honda car but this experience with their financial services was a headache. I cannot believe the lack of communication and poor customer service.

Nataly H1So over it with them. I’ve spoken to numerous people over the last couple MONTHS trying to get a check endorsed for my car that got repaired and every single person I talk to tells me something different. I never get an exact answer and I’m just waiting for a call back like they said they would do but haven’t and I’ve been called all day and says the office is closed when it’s Friday and website says they are open. So frustrating.

Lucy Cho1Worse customer service ever! I've been with Honda past 20 years and bought so many cars. I was never late for payments since I set it on monthly auto pay all the time. I changed my bank info and set it on auto pay and somehow their system retrieved the old bank info and therefore I missed a payment for the first time! They were not willing to reverse the bad credit report so therefore my credit report dropped dramatically because of them. There are not lenient in listening to you at all! Can't wait to switch car company soon!

Marc Anthony Taracena1Hmm better late than never. 30 minutes on hold for a simple question that their website should at least have on their FAQ List! My question was, does Honda Financing offer a refinance option? The lady said that Honda does not have the license to refinance any of their vehicles so I’d have to find my own bank or credit union if I wanted to do that and start a new contract all over again with them. Just throwing that out there so you Honda owners don’t have to wait 30 minutes.

NILANJAN NATH1Never LEASE from HONDA!!! American Honda finance (AHFC) is an unethical business corporation which just tries to steal money from its customers. I leased a new 2018 Honda CRV from a Honda dealer for 3 years, 36k miles. After 2 years I went to a 3rd party dealer (non-Honda) and traded the car in. American Honda Finance (AHFC) charged this turn-in fee of $350 dollars along with the pay-off amount (principal balance remaining which is required to purchase the car as shown in my account). I dont understand why they would charge this turn-in fee when the car was never turned in back to AHFC. After the vehicle payoff amount due was paid AHFC should have absolutely no interest in charging anything else. I called them and they never explained why this extra amount of $350 was charged. This is my last Honda lease/purchase ever. I have traded in Subaru, Lexus and never faced this issue with any other big corporation. American Honda is just trying to steal customer's money.

Silvia Berg1Horrible service, impossible to reach, making the dealerships look awful! Since months I am trying to reach Honda Financial Services, you get stuck in an endless loop leading that all representatives are very busy. No option to be called back. For that reason alone Honda will lose me as a client.

Laura Chavez1Never buying honda again. Ac on my car has stopped working over 5 times since the first time I bought it and called honda financial services to report my car as a lemon because I was over this whole situation they didn't help me at all and every time I had to take my car they had me pay for my own rental. Not only that waiting an hour to talk to someone sucks
