I called to ask about closing money and reached someone who knew absolutely nothing, left a message for the escrow officer to call me back and she never did. As a matter of fact, we never spoke to her. Then I had called to ask a question on another matter and when I asked the escrow assistant, she whispered about it to a coworker and laughed. Super professional! To top things off, they jerked around so much that our deed didn’t get recorded until over a WEEK AFTER CLOSING. Pretty sure that it only was recorded then because I emailed asking about it. Do not use this company!”

I selected GECU as my loan provider due to the fact that they are local, fairly large and provided a great interest rate. This was a huge mistake and I wish I could undo this. It's 2022, yet GECU has no easy convenient way to pay this loan payment if you're not banking with them. I have to jump through hoops just to make my payment. I found the easiest way to be through the automated phone system, which is still difficult and charges a $5 convenience fee. I was told that the best way to avoid this hassle is to open and utilize a checking account with them, which I have zero interest in doing. I have been with my bank forever and do not intend on switching. This is just a sleezy way for them to gain more of your business. The other way would be to use my bank's bill pay service. These bill pay services have always been unreliable and I don't know a single soul who actually uses them. GECU get with the times. Make it easy to make your payment!! Until this is corrected, I would suggest declining a GECU auto loan unless you already bank with them. It will be a frustrating nightmare just trying to make your payment.”

They only let me inside but did not let my GF in as she was bringing in half of the closing cost. At the entrance they just took the check from her and told her she couldn’t come in (rude). There excuse is COVID but for other people they have pictures holding keys or a poster something nice you know. I think buying a house is a big deal and they should at least show like they care about you and not just the money. I did not receive keys that day until my realtor called and asked two days later why haven’t we received keys yet? She spoke with Oscar Aguilar and he said it was because money was missing but he never called and asked or even mention that this was the reason keys could not be released. We were told the wrong amount by Veterans United and lone star title also did not verify the amount the day of closing which is there job. How am I allowed to sign papers without having the cash to close? Also, how come Oscar did not call me or my realtor to ask for the rest of the money so we could get keys? I had called Oscar the same day my realtor spoke to him and he was very rude and unprofessional.”
