I sat with Danica to open the account, and she finds something on Chexsystems from the last bank I had in Massachusetts. I immediately paid that bill, managed to get them to email me a letter saying the debt was paid in full, but that still wasn't enough. I was given more hoops to jump through. The manager and Danica started treating me with disrespect, as if this one failure - in over 30 years of banking - made me a lesser person. Decided to try Wells Fargo. Account was open in 20 minutes and I left with a debit card and checks in hand. I highly discourage anyone from signing on with Savings Bank in Fort Bragg.”
