    Can you give 0 stars? Mountain America for a Credit Union is great but DO NOT I repeat DO NOT EVER USE THEM FOR A MORTGAGE. I was told 4 times I was approved. We had to ask the seller for multiple extensions and then 2.5 weeks after we were suppose to close we are told we no longer qualify even with 800+ credit scores, 5x more income then required, and enough cash in the bank to purchase the home with cash. It makes absolutely no sense. The mortgage department is completely incompetent at Mountain America. It's really sad how bad it is because as a credit union they are actually pretty dang good. So just too reiterate. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE USE MOUNTAIN AMERICA for a HOME LOAN. You will be lied to, strung out and discarded with no regard. Update. The lender is saying the underwriter "changed her mind" and that is the reason I was approved then rejected. The truth is I had locked at a 4% interest rate and rather then the bank take the hit they denied the loan sine rates went to 6%. Would they have dropped the % rate if rates had declined? Absolutely not . Mountain America Lending should be avoided at ALL costs. Don't say "ill give them a chance, dont say i bank there so having my loan with them will be easier, Just say NO. Remember the words of Mrs Reagen. JUST SAY NO TO Mountain American as a Lender.

    It might have just been a bad day but my last experience there was only two tellers working so the wait time was pretty long once my turn everything went fast and the teller was kind and courteous.

    Teller was very friendly and took care of my request and double check with another employee to verify the correct procedure for an IRA.

    This credit union is dishonest. The gold debts post the 7-year limit and just change the date. Their tellers will tell you one thing and days later tell you something completely different. I will never use this credit union again.

    I want to say that Mountaim America Credit Union went out of there way to help me with a problem that I was having. The sweet girl "Nicole" was very willing to take time and listen and worked hard to fix the problem. I have always been treated very well at Mountain America. I have been a member since I was 16 years old and have always had a good experience, no matter the problem or just making a transaction, they always are so quick to help. Thank you Mountain America for always being fantastic,always making sure all.is well. It means a lot

    Very often the bank tellers in the drive-through are anything but courteous. The other day we went inside asking for them to print off some express cards which they have done for us for years they told us there is now a fee, five dollars per card. It is what it is but the lady used the adjective “are you the lady that wants to print off 1 million cards? “When it was about eight cards. Lots of times they are short they don’t ask open ended questions they ask yes or no questions assuming they know what you want

    Thank you thank you!! I love my bank! Staff and management are absolutely amazing. They have always been there to help me out with anything I needed with a friendly voice and a friendly smile. I recently came in with the international check I was told that it would take four to eight weeks for the bank to clear my check and they cleared it in 2 weeks. Appreciate you all so much especially at a time like this. Thank you Mountain America Credit Union for being so great

    Waited for over an hour to get with a loan agent. Once it was our time it was a fast and perfect experience. That main street cedar City branch needs more loan agents if it's always that busy.

    I didn't have any negative experiences with the office members there, but if you are looking to get a real estate loan, I highly recommend going somewhere else. I went in to the office and they gave me a number to call their loan officer. I called the number and there was a voice message saying that he was experiencing a high volume of calls and that he would get back to me in 24-48 hours. (No problem, I understand it's a busy time). I was able to talk with him once in order to get our application submitted, but after that one time---no luck. We had put a backup offer on a house and it looked like if we could get a loan as quick as possible, we might have a chance at getting the house. I called and called and called and called to see how quickly we could work something out. He has still not called back and it has been two weeks. I understand there are plenty of factors that come into play when getting a house, but it definitely seems that this played a role in us not getting the house. Not calling back for two weeks and counting is not acceptable. Needless to say, after a few days we moved on to a new loan officer.
