Pool didn't get finished by the first dateline, due to weather etc... Lyon Financial was very understanding throughout the delays and never made us feel any guilt when datelines weren't met. Also forms are easy to sign through their system. I definitely recommend Lyon Financial!

My wife and I have had a very poor experience with Lyon. She applied for financing in early August and was notified on 8/19 of conditional approval. After some really slow back and forth, part of which was on us as we had to add her to the deed on our house, she was notified by Lyon on 9/30 of final approval. (This was the FIRST TIME we had seen that the approved amount was for about 1/3 of the project's cost.) We had initially decided not to co-apply as I was refinancing a house I own and didn't want to mess with that. Once that closed, though, we contacted Lyon to add myself as a co-applicant. I called on 10/24 (a Saturday) to request info on how to do it. After receiving no guidance, my wife and I then emailed on 10/27 for guidance on how to add me as a co-applicant. We received a reply on 10/28 but I was not able to complete the online form because Lyon included an incorrect email address for me on that online form. I notified them the same day that I couldn't complete the form. The following Monday (11/2) I was sent an updated invitation to add my materials. In the mean time, we applied for financing with another company on 10/30 and were fully funded on 11/5; four business days. Our experience with Lyon included infrequent and generally poor communication. I would not try to do business with them again.

After obtaining a loan, you will be moved to another company. During the loan process, they will be responsive and helpful. Following the loan process, they will just pass you off. The company that they pass you off to will be rude and discourteous. Even when you are trying to help someone out. We were trying to take over a loan for someone who will be defaulting because they lost their positions of employment. The response we received was “the loan is the loan and if you don’t make a payment you can talk to collections”. When they were informed we wanted to make a lump sum payment and rework the loan for our friend, they said “it’s too late and they can deal with collections”.we tried to inform them that we wanted to pay down the loan in an attempt to make a monthly payment affordable for the out of work friend. The actual response we received was “that’s unfortunate but it is what it is”.

Working as an approved contract with Lyon Financial has been great. The process for your customers to get approved for a loan is fast and easy, payments are simple to request and quickly hit your account, and they look at both the borrower and the contractor as an important partner in the process. They've helped me grow my business!
