I visited the new Maxtown location in Westerville. ROB KINNEY is the MOST unbelievable human on earth. I had an urgent need for checks copies for my tax records that are due this Thursday, and I could not find anyone to help me. He sat with me for a long period of time helping me get the exact information that I needed. He is an EXCEPTIONAL human being. In my entire life I have never witnessed such kindness and empathy. He did not have to help me but he chose to. THANK YOU ROB!!!! GOD BLESS!
We are from Texas and bought an RV well Huntington picked up the loan. Now I’m trying to sell the RV and they refuse to even talk to the persons bank that wants to pay it off I’m 45 and have bought and sold many many vehicles with bank to bank transactions. This has to be the worst experience with a bank we have ever had the customer service is just rude and say sorry there is nothing we can do. She literally said how do I know they are a real bank when they call lol. I said they are sending you a wire transfer have you not done any actual banking before. So I’m sending them $17,600 out of my pocket to get my tittle they will not get another dime of interest from me.
My husband and I went in to open some checking accounts and a savings account. First of all we called to make an appointment and the guy on the phone did not tell us that we needed another form of identification or proof of address. The lady that we met with was very rude, since we looked young. The whole appointment it was implied that we were too young for about anything. It was a very frustrating experience all around and not professional whatsoever.
WORST bank I have ever used. I would give them ZERO stars if possible! Moved to Columbus and needed a new bank. Opened account over a year ago. Wife recently joined me and we went to this location to add her to the account. Person that helped us made many mistakes (guess it's tough to enter information from a drivers license). Two weeks later, wife received call that there was an issue with her social security number (entered wrong by teller?). She went to branch to confirm number. Two days later, I talked with customer service about electronic payment that was returned because company I sent to had moved (no issues mentioned about our account). Next day we go into branch to make withdrawal and are informed that our account had been frozen until wife showed social security card (first time they had requested). Complied with request immediately. However during this time, check I had written was rejected and the person I wrote it to was charged a fee. I was a customer with over a year with bank, more than enough money to cover checks. We responded immediately when they contacted us and gave the bank the information they requested and yet the bank didn't have the courtesy to contact us in advance to let us know there was an issue. Obviously the systems and policies at Huntington Bank are very customer unfriendly. This branch probably caused the issue and didn't ever proactively try and fix. I will be closing my account and moving to another bank. Be careful and don't waste your time with this company.
Terrible..no particular branch just the overall bank. Disputed a charge that was 900 over charged than the actual amount. I called company and canceled the transaction. Found out then about the over charge. I emailed Huntington the email telling me that the transaction had been canceled. Received a letter saying it was a vaid charge and will not be doing anything about it. Really? I guess a letter from the company( along with copy of the original amount..not the 900 over) wasn't enough for them. Maybe if i bring in a customer service rep from that company they might reconsider? Either way, closing all accounts and credit cards with them.
I recently received a check drawn off a large insurance company in the mail. I don't recall them owing me any money so I wanted to confirm with the bank that this check was legitimate and not some type of scan. When I called the bank to verify a check I was passed back and forth several times. No one I spoke to was helpful. Finally they dropped me on an automated check "verification" line which ultimately passed me to another customer service rep. This rep stayed on the phone while she again put me on this "verification line". She listened as the system kept kicking me out. She provided no solutions. Her response, "Sorry, that's the only way I have to verify checks. Maybe go down to the branch" Umm, no I live out of state. The level of horrible service in business today blows my mind and the fact that the public has come to expect no more is even more mind-blowing.
If you’re wondering if you should refinance your mortgage with Huntington, let me save you hours, days and weeks of trouble and grief and tell you DON’T. WHAT A MESS! They are for checking and savings, they are USELESS and CLUELESS when it comes to mortgages. I wasted so much time and money and I’m here to tell you, they are rigid and illogical, they don’t care about their customers and most don’t know what they’re talking about. I finally found a knowledgeable employee at Giant Eagle Huntington bank on North State Street, certainly NOT South State Street. So if you find yourself in a similar debacle ask for David and hopefully he will be able to help you like he helped me. But mostly just avoid the whole thing and go with someone else. Very unhappy customer.

Waited 20 minutes in line in drive through. Understand there is construction going on. No problem at all. Only 1 lane open out of 2. Got to box and noone was there for 5 more minutes. Hit the button. Girl comes on and tells me its going to be a "long wait" Waited 2 more mins. Hit button again. Girl came back and helped other lady in CLOSED LANE First!!! Are you kidding me. Told her to send it back to me. In a very condescending snide voice said ok ill send it back..." Ill NEVER goto this branch again due to her. Hire some people who can be pleasant....

There is never enough tellers. It’s monday the first of the month at 1pm and there is only one teller inside and one drive thru line open. Why? This seems to be consistence short staffed location
