Founded in 1858 and seemingly stuck in 1858! The lines are horrendous, the wait time is an exercise in futility or patience depending on your world view, and one wonders if such a place was devised to inflict maximum suffering to those of us trying to endure another day.

They are slower then molasses, I think it's time to change banks. 3 to 4 tellers in one window. After a 3 day close the line is out the door and only 2 to 3 Windows open. After 20 min they finally open a 4th window. Now there have 2 tellers at each window looks like everyone is training. So it turns out New system with a lot of bugs. They don't seem to care if anyone has a hard time standing, no help for hadicap 47 min in line no one ask. The teller doesn't know how to process a payment. 63 min later I'm finally done. This was crazy the line is still out the door.

It’s like going back in time to when there was no technology, banking was extremely slow, and employees move at the speed of turtles. Add a bunch of archaic rules and poorly functioning web tools and you have the oldest poorest bank in Hawaii, hands down. No vision, no respect for customer’s time, and their phone/internet banking looks like it was programmed to frustrate you.

I’m a customer at this branch. Went in to get a simple notary and was told to come back in 12 days as that was the next available appointment. Bear in mind there were 5 customer service bankers sitting at their desks, none of whom appeared to be with a customer or on the phone. This is truly terrible service.

most of the tellers here are so sweet, but i’ve never banked somewhere that the line is constantly out the door. if my landlord didn’t make me pay rent here, i would have changed banks a long time ago

So far I've been robbed of my mi ey for the 3rd time and they refused to do anything about it. I've called several different places to get the mo ey back and they say it's done but I still get robbed 160 dollars almost every time I put money in I'm done I'm calling tomorrow and if you don't give me my mo ey back regardless of the situation I'm seeing you for every penny I can get. Is 160 dollars worth going to court and costing thousands? Give me back my money some people can't afford to get robbed every single time they put money in. I've called and dealt with this too many times. You will hear from my lawyer if it's not handles first thing in the morning!!

This bank should have been dissolved during the financial crisis. Absolutely pathetic. When using the outside ATM for a deposit you must wait until the check clears in Ohau First Hawaiian. This process could take as long as a week and in some cases longer maybe 10 working day. Imagine walking in you see 6 persons behind the counter and only two windows open. Not once, not twice, numerous times. I will continue to bank through the mainland which has worked fine. But the locals will not cash or take a personal check. They will be more than happy to take your ATM.... or your COSTCO credit card. As they say here in the Islands Aloha First Hawaiian. I would have given them a zero but ..... like most of their services it's not offered. As far as the staff goes they are fine, but I'm not there to make friends I'm there for business purposes.

Worst bank I have ever banked at. Terriable customer service. Wait time 30 to 45 min on the phone. Finally get someone on the phone then they don't know what to do always transfering calls to someone else. Sercurity hold was placed on my debit cards could not get verified due to no supervisor on duty but yet the agent just verified with a supervisor. To talk to a supervisor you need to wait 24-48 hours for a call back which mean you won't have access to your funds until then. If your looking for a bank don't look here start with Bank of Hawaii the better bank, the best bank.
