If I could give zero starts I would do just that. After spending $12 in ATM fees, the clerk, Zach, at the drive up counter refused to break down the $20 bills because “I was not a member”. With this kind of customer service I can assure you I will never be a member.

Was able to come in at 4pm to open an account right before they closed. Staff was very helpful and got the debit card right away. The website and app are up to date and very useful tools!

      Response from the owner

Hi Kashia! Thank you for taking time to leave us a review. We're glad to hear your experience with our staff was positive and that you chose FCCU! Have a great day!

Before the merger of Citizens Community Credit Union, which is the credit union that I started under, the service was always great. The people who work there are still great employees, however I am starting to become less happy with the service that is being provided through First Community Credit Union. In particular, I so far have had a negative experience with the Operating System when you call the location. If no one is available, you don't even have the option of waiting on hold until someone is available. I find this incredibly frustrating because the issue I was experiencing could ONLY be addressed over the phone and having a busy schedule matched up with banks having limited hours of operation makes for a frustrating experience trying to get my issue resolved. So yeah, so far, I am not to happy with the merger. Will probably be leaving this credit union soon due to it.

      Response from the owner

Hello! We are sorry to hear of your bad experience and frustration. We did experience some difficulties during our merger having much higher volume of calls than ever before. Our staff is doing the best they can to answer member calls, but we do understand that this customer service is very poor and will do what we can to ensure better service going forward. If you are still experiencing issues, please let us know. Also, our 1-800-850-7676 has quality member relations specialists who are able to answer any question you may have, if the direct branch line is busy. We truly value your membership and your patience during this time.

Disappointed with this bank after the merger. Citizens was always great and always such a great experience. Citizens helped me with about 10 vehicle loans in the past 8 years and I was always able to get the term and monthly payment I wanted at a great interest rate. My girlfriend and I started looking for another car and I referred her to this bank because of my prior experience, and their past willingness to help people with no or low credit get a loan. We set her up an account and applied for a vehicle loan of $4700 on a pickup that booked around $7-7500 with a sizable down payment. She did need me as a cosigner to help with the loan which was expected. But after we started the process we were very disappointed that we could not get the 36mo term and monthly payment that we wanted, even with my good credit, good credit history, and history with citizens credit union. It was a slow process and took about 7 days and many phone calls back and forth for them to come up with an offer that we were willing to take. During one of the many phone calls we were told that a $1500 warranty plan was added to the loan extending it a year which we didn't ask for. We removed that plan and a few other additional plans from the loan and unfortunately settled for a 2 year term with a much higher monthly payment. We signed this loan because we were told only liability insurance was needed (which brings down our monthly total). We were also told that when we signed the paperwork that we would receive our check on that Saturday. We signed the paperwork Saturday but they couldn't print the check until Monday. We purchased the vehicle on Monday and needed a note from the bank to clarify to the insurance company that liability was the most coverage we needed for a vehicle with a loan on it. Now contacting the bank back they told us that they now need full coverage on the vehicle, and that the information they told us was wrong (which puts us way over our beginning budget). So now 2 weeks into this process we are again negotiating a new loan to get us back into an amount that we are slightly comfortable with. Ive bought and sold so many cars and have been through the loan process many times and I am very familiar with it. This time has been a headache, on top of the constant back and forth and some disinfo, their phones will randomly drop you during a transfer or before leaving a message. Not really the best first time experience for my girlfriend as she has been little stressed over this whole ordeal. I truly wish I had the old credit union back. They are working with us to make the situation better which I can appreciate, but its been a long process.

      Response from the owner

Hi Shawn, we're very sorry to hear that this loan process has been so time consuming for you. This should not have been the case and we sincerely apologize for the delay. We are thankful you let us know of this and that our employees are working to make the situation better. We appreciate your patience during this unfortunate incident and we hope we can make it up to you. Have a great day!
