Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. DON'T DO IT. WHATEVER YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING WITH THIS COMPANY, WHETHER IT'S FINANCING A CAR, OR DOING SIMPLE BANKING. You'll have ZERO. I mean, absolutely ZERO help from customer service, and not to mention the amount of times I've had problems logging into my own account to attempt to pay, and I'm locked out. Like, don't get me wrong, the first few months were ok. But as time goes on, the more and more the incompetence of this company showcases itself full blast. Thanks for ruining my credit score even further too, thanks to the incompetence of the company. Honestly speaking, they need to be federally investigated for fraud. Bold statement, I know. But I've been trying for over nearly TWO YEARS now, TWO LONG YEARS, of trying to get a copy of the title to even get the vehicle registered.. Got it on Dec 31st 2020. It's now 07/05/2022. I regret this company. Of all of my decisions in my life, this would probably be the biggest. Don't make my mistake, you'll regret it with this company.

I have been a customer of Ally's for about a year. The first few months were ok, and my payments were being processed properly through the autopay option. Then for some reason my payments kept getting kicked back as "insufficient funds" on the same autopay, when in reality the money has been there the entire time. I would call and pay or go online and pay from the same account and have zero problems. This has been going on for the past 6-9 months or so. Now I can't even pay online with them siting the same issue, when looking at my account on the same dates they say they tried to withdraw the payment and there were not enough funds, and I had 3 to 4 times the amount due in my account. I attempted to call to get this rectified, and was given the run around and made to feel like their incompetence is my fault - then was put on hold for nearly half an hour, only to be put right back on hold not even a minute after the representative returned to the line. I had to get back into my job so I finally hung up the phone. This being said, it is poor customer service and I wish that I had an option to utilize a different lender.

I recently left after 6 years at Ally. I was harassed by the EFSI Operations director on multiple occasions over the last 3 years. There was not anything i could do because she was a mentee of the Chief Compliance officer. After the fourth issue I documented it and sent it to HR. These instances included mistreatment of a disabled veteran with all good reviews over the course of my career. No investigation was done, how do I know? I was never interviewed. It was all swept under the rug. HR is weak and only protects Directors and above. An internal investigation by the ethics was even shut down by the ethics team because her Executive Director which manages that group. My job was then posted as a Director and was told by my Director who they were hiring. This was obvious retaliation. I am having to speak to lawyers as I type this forming a lawsuit. I have everything documented. As for Diversity, the Executive Director of EFSI has helped get his friends and family jobs over the past decades of his career. All white/caucasian. Now with the push for diversity he states in front of his department he doesn't want to hire anyone looking like him. How is he to be taken seriously]y? People like him are the very reason we have to have Diversity training etc The Chief Compliance Officer is the same. He just promoted two white women this past year because one was his mentee and the other was in his wedding..... I don't know if JB is aware or sheltered from the atrocities taking place below him. If he cares he can find out who I am and reach out. DOING IT RIGHT?

I had a truly horrible experience with them, staff is friendly for the most part, with the exception of one employee, Jose , who works in their auto lease group. I called in to request information about why my lease application was denied (actually where they were getting information that I was deceased) and he was infuriated to why I was calling him & who provided me with his # and basically told me to F$&* off and call the dealership. Everyone understood my dilemma, but no one knows how to rectify it. The dealership says the only information they got was that I was deceased, SS, Amex Credit Secure, and Experian all confirmed that I have no red flags associated to SSN All I need is to find out who is reporting me as deceased so I can resolve the issues. After repeated calls and emails they promised me a call back in 1-2 business days. 6 business days later no return call no email. If you have a choose go elsewhere, I have no alternative but to deal with them

If you are going to finance your vehicle do not go through Ally Financial. I have made all my payments on time since July 2019 and in December 2020 they attempted to charge me 2 additional payments after I already paid on time. This issue is still unresolved a month later. My account is still showing past due & I’m receiving collection calls but my account is current. I have spoken with several representatives who confirm my account is current & state they will get it resolved but have not done so. I could see if a company resolved their issues but Ally clearly does not know how to correct their mistakes.

I leased from Ally and it was an OK experience. I really liked the vehicle and decided to buy it at the end of the lease AND that's when the trouble started. An awesome dealership helped me and I financed through another bank - I have been waiting for over 6 weeks for the title. I call every other day and have waited on hold for 15-20 minutes waiting for the re-marketing department. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Still haven't resolved the issues. AND they OWE me three payments... OH and I'm on hold right now... going on 30 minutes. NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE!!!!!! Can I give ZERO stars????

I am with all the other reviews for auto loans. I submitted the pay off Aug 10 and it was received Aug 14 but as of now no title. I have called several times and each time they have an excuse as to why the title has not been mailed. I can not sell the vehicle until I get this title. Avoid!!!

Ally Financial should be investigated by Government Regulatory for their business tactics when you have an account through Ally Auto. I called this morning 02/27/21 to negotiate arrangements to make my car payment and also to see if there was a way to have the monthly payments lowered. The representative for one after stating that I did not give consent to having my phone conversation recorded said that "all phone calls must be recorded and there's nothing that can be done about that." I said by Law if I do not give consent the call can not be recorded so I ended that conversation and called back. Got another representative that after I advised I did not want to be recorded she said the same and that she could document my wishes, I said okay but know for the record my wishes are not to be recorded. So I commence the negotiation to make some arrangements to pay my past due and get caught up. The representative said there was nothing Ally could offer me according to the computer reading and I asked why, she said it does not tell her why. So I next asked her if there was a way to lower the payments per month so I can stay current. She places me on a brief hold and comes back with the same answer, I asked her if she can explain why I was denied and the same answer again from her. Ally is scrupulous in their approach to dealing with consumers in this Pandemic and I would absolutely never deal with Ally Auto again.

If you plan on paying your car off and selling it, you need to get prepared for a long wait for your title. Ally's title department will not pick up the phone or return calls. Call center for customer service is in india. It now has been 15 days and they still haven't sent a lien release to NCDMV. They have promised to send the lien release through there portal which has not happen. Please save yourself the hassle and use a local bank or a credit union. I have never been treated this poorly by any company. So congratulations Ally, you are the worst company that I have ever dealt with in the past 42 years.
