    I give Alabama Credit Union Foley, AL 1 star because you can get someone on the telephone faster than other banks. I wanted to get some change for a $20 bill one day and since I didn't have an account with them (just a POD on a family member's account with them) they denied the request. I may have left those family funds with them...but now, no way. I went to use the ATM to get $120.00 cash this morning with my debit card from another bank, and I agreed to the $2.50 ACU fee because it was the most convenient ATM on my way, and my bank is in Spanish Fort. I received a receipt from the ATM stating the transaction was denied so I went on my way. I logged on to my bank account later and noticed $122.50 was taken from my bank account, but I received no cash. Luckily I kept the receipt saying transaction denied. I called Alabama Credit Union to tell them what happened and if they could help me. They asked if I had an account with them, I said no, they said then take it up with my bank so my bank can file a dispute for me. So, don't go in there unless you have an account or to open an account, and beware of the ATM.

    I'm only giving 2 stars because the employees are as helpful as they can be for a Union that is just ridicules! 3 weeks ago I opened a new account just moving from Michigan, opened with my payroll and couldn't access my money for well over a week...would not let me in my account ( 40 minutes on hold finally working) get paid biweekly deposit my next check and they held the entire amount! My money, same job,4 kids no money for 3 weeks now. The worst thing I've ever done was not listen to the bad reviews, be smarter than me!bank elsewhere

    Love this bank and this branch! I am a long time Chase Bank customer but after two years of living here someone told us about ACU and I am so thankful and grateful they did. Super friendly, great rates, so many features and customer service wow factors I would highly recommend! Thank you ACU for making one part of my life experience that much easier and better!

    ATM has not been working numerous times I come to make a withdraw. I called to ask about my account and have a teller put me on hold because she said the supervisor was in which he wasn't and before she put me on hold I could hear her talking about me (learn to press the hold button before running your mouth about customers) there have been numerous issues with our account since getting it with adjustments that even the tellers have no idea why. I also have a business account with them and have had to go back in numerous times because I signed to open account and they said they got it then called me back a week later to tell me they actually didn't get the electronic signature so they needed me to come back in again. Tellers need to be trained properly so you dont always have to call the 1-800 number and go around the world before speaking to someone at a branch 10 minutes down the road from you. Very disappointed in our move to this bank. I was definitely expecting a whole lot more than what we are getting.

    If I could give ACU zero stars I would. There has been at least 3 times that they have somehow deducted the check's amounts out of my account instead of depositing it. I have been told all of those times "Mistakes happen. We would have noticed at the end of the day and fixed it." The last time from the branch manager. I was spoken to as if I was ridiculous for getting upset about it. And don't worry about calling to do any sort of payment for credit cards over the phone. They are rude to deal with as well and to say it's a process for something so simple is an understatement. After waiting on hold, then being told by their phone systems that they have to call you back, their phone lines will cut you off once you do get a call back. Then you have to go through that whole process again. Whose got time for that? Also, I decided to do away with my credit card through them at one point and I specifically asked the in-house bankers if it would take points off of my credit to cancel the account. I was told no, it would not. I checked my credit report a month later and it had taken over 40 points off just to cancel the card. I know the bank has zero control over the points being taken off but they should know how to answer that question accurately when asked.

    DO NOT BANK HERE! They withhold all your money and decline your card no matter how much money you have on it! I’ve gotten my card decline 4 times with OVER $700 on it! I’ve put up with this 3 times already and now I’m currently looking for another bank! And then they some how mess up your credit. I’ve been in their bank like 8 times and when I need to speak with someone about my credit score they make me wait 45 minutes or more! I’ve referred to at least 15 people and I HONESTLY REGRET IT! This is by far the WORST BANK IVE EVER BANKED AT! Ps-please save yourselves the time it’s NOT worth it!

    They will freeze your account without telling you and then punish you for 6 months. 5 years of banking with them and im treated terribly. Good job ACU.

    I’ve had no bad experiences at ACU, unlike other disgruntled reviewers here. In fact, ACU helped me out getting my first loan when the other banks would not. I’ve been with them for five years now. Great service.

    I have had nothing but mistake after mistake with their inhouse tellers .... had two deposit mistakes to wrong accounts when using my account deposit slips !! Never had problems like that with other institutions !! Third mistake .... I needed specific requested denomination cash ... 5 $100 bills for transaction to teller and she gave me 4 $100 and 5 $20 .... they don't listen to account holder !! Still do not know how one deposits to a " no existing" account as told by branch manager in Foley .... and their system issued a deposited credit slip back to their teller who gave it to me !! Reported to main office .. never heard a peep !!

    I am very disappointed with the service I received at the drive through yesterday afternoon. Most unfriendly, unprofessional, and just plane rude. This is the second time this happened to me. I am very surprised because , everyone at this branch is usually extremely friendly.
